Devotional Music for Temple Festivals and Private Poojas
I bring a soulful blend of bhajans, abhangs, and devaranamas to your special occasion, helping create an atmosphere of true devotion and peace.
A moment from a live performance, singing the devotional piece 'Karuniso Ranga'. Connecting with the bhava, or emotion, of such songs is what I strive for in every rendition.
A truly blessed experience performing at the Chidambaram temple. There is a special energy when you offer your music in such a sacred space, connecting with centuries of devotion.
A humble offering for Ramanavami, singing the bhajan 'Shri Ramachandra Kripalu Bhajamana'. Sharing these timeless prayers through music is a blessing. Jai Shree Ram.
About Devotional Music
When I sing for a pooja or a temple gathering, I don't just deliver a setlist. I share the meaning behind the Sahitya (lyrics) so guests feel the emotion behind every devotional composition, whether it is a Marathi Abhang or a Kannada Devaranama. This interaction transforms the atmosphere from a standard performance into a shared spiritual experience for everyone present.
My approach to devotional music is rooted in the idea of 'Kereya Neeranu Kerege Chelli' (giving the lake's water back to the lake). I see my voice as a medium to share these timeless prayers. Whether you are hosting a traditional Ramanavami celebration, a Shivarathri night, or a small house pooja, I adapt the repertoire to suit the mood and the audience.
I often perform a mix of Devaranamas, Abhangs, and light classical pieces. The goal is to keep the energy respectful and meditative. For intimate home settings, I can perform with minimal amplification or backing tracks, ensuring the sound remains soft and suitable for indoor acoustics. For larger temple events, I focus on powerful, clear delivery that reaches the gathering.
My typical sessions last about 90 minutes. I always make it a point to connect with the audience, explaining the context of the songs, which helps people who might not be familiar with the language connect with the intent. It is not just about the notes; it is about the feeling behind the music. If you are looking for an honest, grounded performance for your next religious event in Bengaluru or beyond, let's connect.
