Practical MMA and Grappling Drills in Vile Parle
Real combat training that focuses on what works. Whether you want to master ground fighting, improve your striking, or just build real-world discipline, we train like we mean it.
Sparring is essential for testing your skills. Here, two students practice their boxing, working on footwork, defense, and landing clean combinations in a controlled environment.
A glimpse into our Friday morning grappling session. Students are practicing ground control and submission techniques, a critical component of MMA and self-defense.
Head movement is key to avoiding getting hit. I use a boxing reflex bar to drill defensive techniques, forcing the student to stay sharp and react quickly.
This is a personal training session focused on improving boxing combinations. We drill hooks, uppercuts, and straight punches on the pads to build muscle memory and power.
A complete body workout in one session. This video shows a student practicing kickboxing combinations, demonstrating the power and flexibility gained through our training.
About MMA & Grappling Drills
My sessions are not about fancy choreography or gym aesthetics. We focus on the mechanics of ground fighting, submission escapes, and controlled sparring. When you are on the mats with me, you will learn how to manage your distance, control your breathing, and react under pressure, rather than just moving through the motions. It is raw, it is practical, and it is built for results.
Building Combat Skills from Scratch
MMA is more than just a sport. It is a way to sharpen your focus and build strength that actually carries over to your daily life. In our Vile Parle studio, we strip away the show-off moves and get back to the basics of combat.
What you will actually do here:
- Grappling & Groundwork: We treat grappling as a chess game. It is about patience, leverage, and understanding how to escape bad positions. You will learn to use your weight, not just your muscle.
- Striking Accuracy: Using mitts and focus pads, we break down your stance, hip rotation, and guard height. The goal is to make every movement efficient.
- Controlled Sparring: This is the most important part. You cannot learn to fight without testing your skills in a safe, controlled environment. My sparring sessions are supervised, light-contact, and designed to teach you how to see openings and defend yourself.
Why This Method Works
Most gyms focus on lifting weights and cardio machines. Here, we focus on the human body as a weapon. You will learn how to use your jab, cross, and hooks, but more importantly, you will learn when to use them. Whether you are a beginner looking to get fit or someone wanting to sharpen your self-defense skills, the process is the same: consistency and repetition. We don't just teach you to punch; we teach you to move, dodge, and control the pace of the fight. If you are ready to put in the work, you will see the change in your stamina, your focus, and your strength.
Ravi
I am Ravi, and this gym is my second home. I don't care if you've never thrown a punch or if you're a seasoned fighter; we work until you get it right. I've trained everyone from local students to actors, and we are all here for one reason: to get stronger, both physically and mentally.
