The Grand Sitar Symphony Performances

When you book the Sitar Symphony, you are not just getting a musical performance, but a visual and acoustic spectacle. My goal with this ensemble is to create a 'wall of sound' that fills the room, making it an ideal choice for grand entrances, opening ceremonies, or large-scale stage setups.

The Ensemble

This performance features a group of 15 to 20 sitarists, including some of my senior students from Swar Sanskruti Music Academy. We perform in color-coordinated ethnic attire, creating a uniform look that adds to the visual impact on stage. The repertoire blends classical compositions with original fusion pieces, ensuring the music feels both grand and accessible to a diverse audience.

Technical and Logistical Requirements

Because this is a large group, coordination is key.

• Stage: We need a minimum stage size of 24x12 feet.
• Sound: This setup requires extensive area miking or multiple individual instrument mics to ensure the nuance of each sitar is captured.
• Hospitality: Please note that we require meals and refreshments for the full troupe of 20 to 25 artists.

We bring the discipline of the gurukul into the performance space, ensuring that every note is played with precision. Whether you are hosting a corporate gala in Mumbai or a wedding ceremony in a heritage property, we work closely with your event team to handle the technical sound check and setup, giving you one less thing to worry about.
