Music becomes something special when artists come together. Here are some of my most cherished moments performing alongside legends like Asha Bhosle ji, Sivamani, and Ustad Fazal Qureshi ji.

About Collaborations with Legends

When I step on stage for a collaboration, the magic lies in listening. Whether I am jamming with Sivamani’s drums or finding a groove with Sangeet Haldipur, my sitar adapts to the moment. It is never just about playing my own part; it is about leaving enough space for the other artist to shine, which is how we create something truly fresh and spontaneous every single time.

Collaborations are a 'swar yatra' of their own. They take me out of the meditative space of a solo recital and into an energetic dialogue where tradition meets modern rhythm. Over the years, I have been blessed to share the stage with legends like Asha Bhosle ji, Sivamani, and Ustad Fazal Qureshi ji. These performances, whether at the iconic Siddhivinayak Temple or at grand festivals in Ujjain and Delhi, require a deep level of preparation and trust.

My approach changes depending on the ensemble. When playing with The Sivamani Trio, for example, I use an electrified sitar to cut through the mix of drums, bass, and keyboards. The goal is to keep the soul of the raag intact while matching the high energy of jazz and world music. It is a balancing act. I keep the technical integrity of the Hindustani classical style while embracing the unpredictability of fusion music.

If you are planning an event that needs this kind of dynamic musical energy, let us talk. From corporate galas that demand punchy, upbeat fusion to more serene, spiritual gatherings, I tailor my sound to match the mood of the room. My team and I travel across India, and we bring the same level of dedication to a large public festival as we do to an intimate private celebration.
