About Traditional Event Decoration
Why I Do This
For me, decoration is about keeping our roots strong. I want every event to feel like home, with all the small touches that make it truly traditional. People often say, "Tumba chennagide" (looks really nice), and I think that's because I use fresh, natural stuff and don't cut corners.
What Makes My Style Special
- I build the chappara (pandal) from scratch, not with readymade frames. We weave coconut and palm leaves by hand, and use sugarcane, banana plants, and coconuts for pillars.
- You’ll see brass urlis, hanging bells, and even decorative parrots in my setups. I like to keep it authentic, not flashy.
- For weddings, I set up the mantapa with a lot of fresh flowers and traditional props. The banana leaf backdrop design is something people ask for again and again.
Events I Decorate
- Weddings, receptions, and pre-wedding functions like Haldi and Mehendi. I use marigolds and jasmine for traditional flower garlands.
- Housewarming (gruhapravesha) - main door, pooja room, hall, and chappara at the entrance.
- Baby showers, naming ceremonies, and pooja events. Cradle decorations with fresh flowers are my thing.
- I handle everything from A to Z, so you don’t have to worry about small details.
My Approach
- I use eco-friendly event decor, mostly natural materials. No plastic, no fake flowers.
- Based in Bangalore, I travel across the city and nearby places if needed.
- I’m not perfect - sometimes weather can mess with fresh flowers, and natural materials need extra care. But I always try to make it look divine and memorable.
