About Traditional & Cultural Ceremony Decoration
Why I Decorate
Decorating for family ceremonies isn’t just a business for us. It’s about making places feel sacred and festive, blending classic South Indian vibes with a bit of modern simplicity. Every event feels personal, and I like to keep things rooted in tradition but never too old-school.
Our Signature Touch
- Fresh flowers are a must - malli, sugandharaja, marigold, lotus. The whole space comes alive with their fragrance.
- Custom backdrops set the mood. Sometimes it’s traditional checks with flowers and leaves, sometimes dense floral walls, or a peek into art like Pichwai with peacocks and lotuses.
- We use proper props - brass lamps (Samai), banana plants (vaazha maram) at the door, and old-school royal sofas for the main chairs.
- For pooja area floral setup, and all those offering trays, we make sure they look picture-worthy with traditional arrangements.
Types of Ceremonies
- Baby Shower (Seemantha): Big chairs for amma-to-be, bright backdrops, and neat displays for all the gifts and fruits. It’s all about making her feel special.
- Naming / Cradle Ceremony (Thottilu): The cradle is the hero, decked with floral garlands, maybe even the baby’s name in flowers.
- Housewarming: Chappara (coconut leaf canopy), floral toran for the entrance, and a pooja spot that feels just right.
- Puberty/Half Saree: One ornate chair, a wall of flowers, and all the lamps and decorations to mark the milestone.
Where We Work
Mostly Bangalore, but I’ll pack up and come to Mysore, Hyderabad or Tamil Nadu if you need me. We love a good drive for a special event.
What You Can Expect
After a few hundred events, I can say no two families are the same. I go all out for quality, but I’ll be honest - sometimes the weather messes with fresh flowers, and travel can mean setups take a bit longer. But I make it work and make it memorable.
