A look at the milestones, performances, and daily rhythm of life at Samarpana. From our foundational classes in Whitefield to the pride of our students' Arangetram debuts.

This is my student Aamuktha, captured in a power packed moment during her Arangetram. The journey to this debut performance requires immense dedication, and seeing a student command the stage with such grace is the greatest reward for a teacher.

Here, my senior students are practicing their adavus. Strong fundamentals are the backbone of Bharatanatyam, and we dedicate time in every class, no matter the level, to perfecting these core movements. This discipline builds the stamina and precision needed for advanced performances.

People often ask what makes our classes different. I believe it is our focus on each student's individual journey. We move at a pace that is right for them, ensuring no one is rushed or held back, thanks to the help of my wonderful senior students who assist in teaching.

It is a joy to teach the youngest dancers, who start with us from the age of five. This is a little conversation I had with Anwika. Her curiosity and excitement to learn new steps and shlokas brightens up our studio.

The Salangai Pooja is a student's first major milestone, and the pride in the parents' eyes says it all. Hearing their words of gratitude reminds me of the beautiful community we have built together at Samarpana.

I am so proud of my student Durga. As a mother of two and a professional at Google, she balanced her responsibilities to achieve her dream of performing her Arangetram. She is a true inspiration for all my adult students.

They say age is just a number, and I truly believe it. Here I am, at 50, practicing a jathi. I hope these small videos motivate others to start or restart their own dance journey, no matter their age.

A glimpse into our new studio in Whitefield, Bengaluru. We wanted to create a serene and inspiring space where students feel motivated to immerse themselves in the art of Bharatanatyam.

This is Tanmayi, who marked the 50th Arangetram from our academy. It was a significant and proud milestone for our entire Samarpana family. Her innocence and grace shone so brightly in her performance.

Bharatanatyam is more than just steps; it is about the complete presentation. We recently held a makeup workshop to teach students and parents the practical skills needed to feel confident and prepared for the stage.

About Featured

We operate on a 'multiple intelligences' approach rather than batching by age alone. If a student grasps steps quickly, I move them to higher levels without waiting for others, while those who need more time to master the Aramandi stance or a specific Adavu are given the space to learn at their own pace. This ensures everyone feels engaged and challenged at their own speed.
