This performance was a special one for me, a throwback to a kacheri at Medai. It is a salutation to the audience, the sabha, because your energy is what gives life to our art. This is the kind of devotion and stamina I work to instill in my students.
The Aramandi is the foundation of Bharatanatyam. It is tough, but we make it a joyful challenge. Here are some of my students showing their dedication and strength in our Aramandi challenge.
In Bharatanatyam, the story is told through the eyes. Kannu aanallo ettavum important. I teach my students not just the steps, but how to channel emotion and become storytellers through Abhinaya.
The Guru-Shishya relationship is the soul of our tradition. This moment of blessing a student is more precious to me than any performance. It is a promise to guide them on their lifelong journey with dance.
So many of you asked how I get ready for a performance. Here is a small glimpse. Little makeup and lots of dancing is my secret. As you can see, sometimes I forget things like eyeshadow, but the eyes are what matter most.
This is my family. Seeing all my students together for Nrithya Sandhya fills my heart with oru santhosham, a unique happiness. From the youngest beginners to the senior performers, this is the result of our shared passion.
It is never too late to start your dance journey. I am so proud of students like Pooja, who came to my class as an adult and is now preparing for her Arangetram. Her dedication proves that passion has no age limit.

We dedicate significant time to Navarasa training, helping students move beyond muscle memory to truly inhabit the characters and emotions they portray. This is why our students perform with such depth—they are not just dancing; they are storytelling.
