Nrithyakuteera: Authentic Bharatanatyam Classes in Bengaluru
Welcome to our NK family. From rigorous Kalakshetra training to our vibrant annual Nrithya Milana, we bring discipline, grace, and a whole lot of heart to every *adavu*.
This is our Nrithya Milana, our grand annual day at Ravindra Kalakshetra. It’s a joy to see over 200 of my students, from the youngest beginners to our senior-most ladies batch, all sharing one stage. This is the moment we all work towards, a true celebration of our NK family.
I am so incredibly proud of these girls for their fantastic results in the Pre-Vidwath exams, with some even achieving distinction. We provide dedicated training for university-certified Bharatanatyam examinations, guiding students who want to take their passion to a professional level.
We are Bharatanatyam dancers, and this is our life. From spending hours getting ready to our guru never being satisfied with our adavus, it’s a journey of discipline, fun, and sisterhood. Here at NK, we work hard but also share so much laughter.
Performing for Lord Venkateshwara at the Naadaneerajanam program in Tirumala Tirupati was a truly divine experience for our team. We feel so blessed to get opportunities like these to offer our dance at such sacred venues, a memory my students and I will cherish forever.
The foundation of Bharatanatyam is built on strong adavus, the basic steps. Here, you can see a glimpse of our beginner's class where we focus on getting the fundamentals right. It doesn't matter where you are, it's never too late to start your dance journey with us.
Witnessing my senior disciples like Vidushi Anushree command the stage at prestigious events like the ICCR's cultural evening is a guru's greatest reward. We nurture talent from the very first step, helping dedicated dancers grow into confident solo performers.
Just a happy moment with my pretty girls. Beyond the rigorous training and performances, we are a family. These smiles and the bond we share are the real treasures of Nrithyakuteera.
A moment of immense pride for our entire NK family. Seeing my students selected to perform at the Republic Day parade in Delhi is a testament to their hard work and dedication. We always encourage our dancers to dream big.
About Featured
Learning Bharatanatyam here isn't just about showing up for a class; it's about joining a community. Whether you are enrolling in our rigorous foundation batches to perfect your adavus or joining our adult fitness group to de-stress, you get the same disciplined, Kalakshetra-style training that we give our certification candidates. My goal is for every student—from our youngest beginners to our 'mummy batch'—to feel at home while working hard to master the art form.
At Nrithyakuteera, we treat dance as a lifelong journey. With studios in JP Nagar 8th Phase and Chamrajpet, we have created a space where the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara meets modern support.
What you can expect with us:
- Structured Training: We don't rush the basics. We believe strong adavus (basic steps) and correct aramandi (half-sit posture) are the foundations of grace. We bridge the gap between theory, including kanakku (rhythmic math), and practical performance.
- Pathways for Everyone: We offer dedicated tracks for different goals. If you are serious about certification, we guide you through Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and University exams. If you are an adult looking for fitness, our hobby batches focus on semi-classical movement and stress relief without the exam pressure.
- Stage Experience: We aren't a classroom-only school. Our students regularly perform at prestigious events like our annual 'Nrithya Milana' at Ravindra Kalakshetra, temple festivals, and even televised cultural programs. We believe the stage is where a dancer truly finds their confidence.
- The NK Family: Beyond the studio, we are a family. We celebrate together, go on treks, and support each other through the highs and lows of learning.
Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to prepare for your Rangapravesha, come talk to us. We’ll walk the path with you.
Nrithyakuteera
I'm Deepa Bhat. I started Nrithyakuteera because I wanted to create a second home where we learn discipline but also share laughter. Whether you're a child taking your first step or an adult rediscovering the joy of dance, I’m here to guide you with the same love I received from my own Gurus.
