When I pick poses for these sessions, I focus on the 'why' behind the shape. Take the Dhanurasana (Bow Pose) or Camel Pose you see here. These are not just for photos; they are essential for anyone spending hours at a desk. They open up the chest and strengthen the back muscles, which is exactly how we fight city stiffness.
More Than Just Poses
Yoga Day is just a reminder that the practice never stops. My goal is to make fitness a celebration, not a punishment. Whether you are holding a pose or flowing through a routine, the focus is on 'Rhythm and Health.'
Why My Classes Are Different
My sessions, including those inspired by the energy of Yoga Day, mix traditional Iyengar-inspired alignment with playful movement. We do not just twist and stretch. We work on:
- Posture Correction: Addressing the hunched shoulders and back pain we all develop from city life.
- Breathwork: Pranayama is core to my practice, not an afterthought.
- Strength: We work on holds and stability, using props like blocks to ensure you get the alignment right, regardless of your level.
Join the Squad
I run small group sessions, usually 10 to 15 people, at studios like Figurine Fitness in Indiranagar and VJS Fitness in Kalyan Nagar. This keeps the energy high and ensures I can give you personal attention, even in a group. If you are looking for private home sessions to master advanced inversions like Headstands, I handle that too, with proper spotting and technique breakdown.
