You have seen the reels of seamless flips and drops. Behind those moves is a lot of sweat, core work, and safe practice. Let's break down how to get you flying.

Trying something new today: the Superman pose. This move requires serious back and core strength, but it makes you feel like a superhero.

Learning some Gen Z slang: Delulu is Solulu. Being delusional enough to dream big and imagine your success. This drop is for all the dreamers.

A quick tutorial on how to get into different animal figures like Bat and Flying Squirrel using the silks. It's all about the right wrap and a little bit of courage.

The Bow & Arrow. It took me a week to figure out how to hook the leg without falling off. This is proof that practice and persistence pay off.

Getting into the Aerial Mermaid pose with a variation. This one looks easy, but it's one of the tougher poses that requires a lot of hip flexibility and core control.

Trying new things is hard, especially when practicing alone. I wanted to work on my flips, and on the third attempt, I had enough control to move into a mini flow.

There is only one person who should decide if you are successful: you. This inversion drop is a great way to build self-trust and boost your confidence.

Teaching these girls how to do a flip. They exceeded their own expectations! A little perseverance, focus, and determination go a long way.

This move requires a lot of strength to pull up and then rotate 360 degrees. It's a challenging but super fun trick to master.

Blooper alert! Tag a friend who always gets stuck while doing aerial yoga. We all have these moments, and laughter is the best medicine.

About Nailing the Moves: Flips, Drops & Tricks

Don't expect to nail a drop on your first day. We start with the basics to build your grip and core, because the only thing worse than a failed trick is a sloppy one. I teach you how to fall safely before I teach you how to fly, so you actually build the confidence to try those flips without fearing the ground.

Getting to the level where you can perform a clean inversion drop is not magic. It is simple, consistent conditioning. In my sessions at House of Happiness in Marol and our studio in Powai, we break these moves down into bite-sized components. We do not skip the boring stuff because that prep work—grip drills, hanging leg raises, and controlled hammock transitions—is exactly what stops you from faceplanting when you try that first flip.

Classes are kept small, usually 6 to 10 people. This is not a gym where you are lost in the crowd. I am right there to spot you, adjust your silk wraps, and make sure your safety knots are tight before you even think about leaving the mat. Whether you are working on a Mermaid pose or a Candlestick drop, we focus on safe technique first. Once you have the grip strength and the proper wrap, the tricks follow naturally.

We also prioritize the community side. It is always easier to attempt a new, scary drop when you have a group cheering for you rather than judging. If you want to build strength, learn real aerial yoga flows, and master some cool tricks along the way, come join us for a session.
