My Martial Arts Journey and Training Approach
Martial arts is more than just moves; it is about building discipline, finding inner strength, and treating every student like family. Here is a look at my personal training philosophy and how I help students in Chandigarh develop real-world skills.
A look back at where I started and the martial artist I am today. This journey shows my lifelong dedication to the art, from a young boy to a black belt practitioner.
Being interviewed at a Shotokan Karate belt grading test in Chandigarh. I believe in being an active part of the local martial arts community and helping students achieve their goals.
A close-up during a live interview at a martial arts camp. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for karate and kickboxing with others in the community.
A moment of focus before a training session in Chandigarh. Martial arts is also about mental discipline and finding calm through practice.
The focus and attitude required for karate. This pose captures the intensity and discipline I bring to every training session and expect from my students.
This is a fact I live by. The hard work you put in during training builds the strength you need for tomorrow, both physically and mentally.
About My Martial Arts Journey
You will notice our training is not the standard 'gym workout' experience. We focus on real-world self-defence and conditioning that translates to actual strength, whether we are in the dojo at Shishu Niketan School or training at your local park. I want you to walk away from every session feeling more capable than when you arrived.
Our Philosophy
For me, martial arts is in my blood. It isn't just about collecting medals or perfect form; it is about knowing that today's pain is tomorrow's strength. I train alongside my students because 'ek bhai hamesha aapke saath khada rahega' (a brother will always stand by you). This mindset governs everything we do at Universal Martial Arts.
The Training Method
We strip away the 'fancy' gym moves that look good but don't work. Instead, we focus on:
- Shotokan Karate: The foundation for focus, discipline, and precise movement.
- Practical Self-Defence: Real scenarios, handling grabs, and learning how to escape dangerous situations.
- Conditioning: Whether we are using push-ups or burpees, the goal is to make you stronger, not just tired.
Where We Train
Flexibility is part of the training. I run structured batches at Shishu Niketan Public School (Sector 43/A) and Gyandeep School (Sector 20). If that does not fit your schedule, I also travel to homes and parks across Chandigarh for 1-on-1 coaching.
We keep the environment rugged and focused. No AC, no distractions—just the mat, the discipline, and the work. If you are ready to put in the time, you will see the results.
