About Meet Our Playmakers
You will not find our Playmakers standing at the front of a room or hovering over worksheets. Instead, you will see them sitting at the child's eye level, deeply engaged in a conversation about a garden discovery or helping a toddler navigate a big emotion. We prioritize emotional safety, so our educators are trained not just to teach, but to listen, observe, and partner with the children in their exploration.
At Papagoya, we believe that education is about building a connection. When you browse the profiles of our team members, you are seeing more than just teachers. You are meeting people who have chosen to step away from traditional, flaw-focused systems and instead embrace a model where a child's wellbeing is the foundation of every lesson.
Our Playmakers come from diverse backgrounds—some with a flair for theatre, others with a deep love for science and the outdoors. What connects them is a shared commitment to 'play-based learning.' They understand that for a child to truly shine, they must feel safe and heard. Whether they are setting up an 'Invitation to Play' or facilitating a complex social-emotional moment, they are always looking for the spark of curiosity in every child.
We invest heavily in our team's growth through regular training sessions that focus on emotional regulation, environment design, and documentation. We want our educators to be as excited about learning as the children are. This creates a classroom environment that feels alive, dynamic, and genuinely kind. If you are looking for educators who value individual personalities and treat children with the same respect they would show any adult, we invite you to reach out and start a conversation.
