Playful Learning Workshops for Parents and Families
At Papagoya, we swap lecture-heavy parenting for hands-on discovery. Join us to explore, experiment, and build stronger connections with your children through shared play.
Our annual Sports Day is a celebration of community and teamwork. It's a day where children, parents, and Playmakers come together for friendly competition, from sack races to tug-of-war, all while cheering each other on.
Passion Day is an opportunity for children to dive deep into their interests. Here, our learners chose between horse-riding, baking, and carpentry, exploring their passions with the support of Playmakers and parent volunteers.
"Under the Mango Tree" is our annual mixer for the Papagoya parent community. It's a night to unwind, connect, and celebrate with food, fun photo booths, and playful activities designed just for the grown-ups.
"I'm a better parent as a result of how Papagoya has brought my daughter into her own world." Hearing from parents like Mandira about their journey with us is the greatest affirmation of the community we are building together.
"It's like a home away from home for my child." A heartwarming testimonial from a Papagoya parent, sharing his joy in seeing his daughter thrive in our community and the happiness our Family Day brings.
We love when fathers join in the fun. Here, a dad reads a story to an engaged group of children during circle time, creating a special memory for everyone.
As part of our Father's Day celebrations, a parent volunteer led a special session on AI. He helped the children create a story and coloring sheets using AI tools, showing them how technology can be a creative partner.
About this collection
Our Parent-Child Thematic Weekend Workshops are not just activities for the kids, they are active co-learning sessions for you too. Whether we are mixing science experiments, baking, or building art installations, parents act as essential play partners. You will leave these 90-minute sessions with a shared creation and a new, practical way to engage with your child’s natural curiosity at home.
Learning as a Partnership
We believe that when parents shift from being observers to being play partners, the dynamic changes entirely. Our weekend workshops provide a space to explore concepts like kitchen science, messy art, or analogue play without the pressure of achieving a perfect outcome. We provide the sustainable materials and the guidance, but the discoveries belong to you and your child.
What happens in a session?
Each session is grounded in our 'Playmaker' philosophy. A parent might find themselves helping their child create 'invisible ink' using baking soda and turmeric, or perhaps assisting in a collaborative art installation. We avoid rote learning. Instead, we introduce simple, hands-on tasks that spark conversations and deep focus. You might walk in expecting to just supervise, but you will likely walk out having learned something new about your child's approach to problem-solving.
A Village for Parents
Beyond our classrooms, our community events like 'Under the Mango Tree' offer a space for adults to reconnect. We host open discussions on topics like modern parenting, screen time, and emotional wellbeing, knowing that parents need support just as much as children do.
Whether you are joining us for a specialized science workshop at our Micro-School or a family-focused community mixer, our goal is the same: to create a home away from home where every family feels they belong. Come with an open mind, ready to get your hands messy.
Papagoya
We believe learning is a dialogue, not a drill. Our Playmakers create spaces where parents drop the 'expert' role and simply become partners in their child's curiosity. Come spend a weekend with us and see how much you learn when you play together.
