About this collection
On the mats, technique beats size every time. Whether we are practicing BJJ submissions or wrestling takedowns, you will learn to control an opponent without needing raw strength. Don't worry if you are a beginner; the focus here is always on learning the moves safely and building your confidence from the ground up.
Why Ground Work Matters
Most fights end up on the ground. Whether you are interested in self-defense or competitive sports, understanding how to control or escape from the ground is essential. My sessions blend the best of three disciplines: Wrestling for takedowns, Judo for throws, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for positional control and submissions.
What to Expect
We train in a structured environment where safety comes first. You are not just 'fighting'; you are learning the science of leverage.
- Technique First: You will drill moves repeatedly. This creates muscle memory so that in a real situation, you do not panic.
- Safe Intensity: We use crash pads and puzzle mats. You train with people who respect the 'tap'—when you need to stop, we stop.
- For Everyone: You do not need to be an athlete to start. We have people from all fitness levels. Some want to compete, others just want to get fit and learn a skill.
The Training Philosophy
I believe in the 'no ego' approach. You might get swept or submitted in training, and that is a good thing. It shows you exactly where your game needs work. We keep the vibe fun and supportive, so you actually want to come back for the next session. This is not a gym where people walk around with attitude. We are a tribe, and we help each other get better.
Om BJJ & MMA Academy
I am Om. I started this academy in Sector 46 because I wanted a space where technique matters more than your size. Whether you are here for BJJ, Judo, or to learn how to defend yourself, we train to build real, functional strength.
