Grappling and Groundwork Training in Gurugram
Fighting isn't just about standing up and trading punches. Master the art of control through Judo, BJJ, and wrestling to handle any scenario on the ground.
A complete fighter is comfortable everywhere. This sequence shows a student transitioning from striking to executing a clean Judo throw, a core part of our grappling curriculum.
From stand-up to the ground, we cover all aspects of grappling. This clip shows a classic Judo throw followed by a demonstration of a standing guillotine choke.
Learning to control a fight on the ground is crucial. This is a step-by-step demonstration of how to properly execute a triangle choke, a fundamental submission in BJJ and MMA.
On these mats, your opponent is your teacher and your ego is your enemy. Here, my students are practicing No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, learning control and submissions in a live-rolling environment.
Groundwork is about technique and pressure. This clip shows students drilling grappling positions and submissions, building the muscle memory needed for a real fight.
About Grappling & Groundwork
Training on our 30mm puzzle mats is about learning control through constant pressure. You will sweat, you will feel the challenge of a proper triangle choke, and you will quickly realise that a successful takedown or submission is never about raw force, but about leverage and timing. This is a non-AC, no-nonsense environment where your focus is on the technique, not the comfort of the facility.
Our grappling curriculum is built on the reality that a fight can go to the ground in an instant. Whether you are aiming for competition or just building a complete self-defense skillset, you need to be comfortable everywhere.
The Curriculum
We don't separate disciplines just for the sake of it. We integrate them:
- Judo: This is my foundation. We focus on real-world throws and takedowns that use an opponent's momentum against them. You will learn to control the pace of a match from the feet.
- No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu: In a real fight, there are no uniforms to grab. We train for the reality of No-Gi grappling, focusing on positional control and efficient, high-percentage submissions.
- Wrestling & Sambo: We mix in elements of these for better takedown defense and the ability to dictate where the fight happens.
Why the Raw Environment?
We train in a basement-level, non-AC space in Sector 38 because the gym is for work, not for showing off. The heat and the intensity of the group drills ensure that when you actually need these skills, your mind stays clear even when your lungs are burning.
Your Mindset
Tum bas apne aap se mat haarna (Just don't lose to yourself). The opponent is your teacher, and your ego is the only thing standing in the way of your progress. Grappling is a game of chess played with your body, and it takes time to develop that intuition. If you are looking for a quick fix or a fancy gym, this isn't it. If you are looking for 5 years of hard, consistent work to become a well-rounded fighter, you are in the right place.
