Deepen your practice with structured, mindful guidance into inversions, arm balances, and deep backbends.
It's not about perfection, it's about effort. This sequence shows the process of moving into a supported headstand, or Sirsasana, and finding balance. Transformation happens when you bring effort every single day.
When life feels confusing, sometimes you just need a different perspective. This video shows me moving into a scorpion headstand, a challenging inversion that requires focus, strength, and balance.
Finding strength in every flip and turn. This video captures a playful exploration of leg variations in a supported headstand, building core strength and control while inverted.
True strength is not just physical, but spiritual. Here I am practicing a deep backbend, a pose that opens the heart and reminds us of the resilience of our spirit.
This video demonstrates Nauli Kriya, an advanced yogic cleansing technique. It involves manipulating the abdominal muscles to massage the internal organs and improve digestion.
A moment of deep focus and flexibility in this standing compass pose, set against a beautiful mountain landscape. This asana requires open hips and hamstrings.
Holding Natarajasana, or Lord of the Dance Pose, in a serene forest setting. This pose is a beautiful expression of balance and reminds us to schedule our priorities, not just prioritize our schedule.
A demonstration of a deep backbend pose. This kind of practice requires significant opening in the spine and shoulders, built over time with patience.
A short clip of a personal Vinyasa flow practice. This dynamic style of yoga links breath with movement, creating a moving meditation that builds heat and strength in the body.
About Advanced Asana & Inversions
Getting into inversions like Sirsasana or complex backbends isn't about raw strength; it is about understanding your body's geometry and using props to stay supported. I focus on alignment over ego, helping you build confidence through steady, incremental practice so you can find stability in poses that once felt out of reach.
Advanced yoga is often misunderstood as simply doing the most difficult poses. In my classes, we treat inversions and deep backbends as a dialogue between your body and your breath. Whether it is a headstand or a deep spinal opening, the goal is always stability, not just the aesthetic of the pose.
We work with props like blocks and bolsters to ensure every movement is sustainable, especially if you are working on opening tight shoulders or hips. If you are joining my sessions in Koramangala or Electronic City, we can focus on physical adjustments to deepen your practice safely.
What we cover
- Inversion Fundamentals: Step-by-step progressions for headstands and forearm balances, ensuring your neck and shoulders are always protected.
- Alignment & Control: Learning to use your core—not just momentum—to enter and exit poses.
- Cleansing Techniques: Incorporating practices like Nauli Kriya to improve digestion and internal health alongside your physical flow.
I also believe in knowing when to hold back. If you are recovering from an injury or feeling fatigued, we adjust the sequence. Yoga is a lifelong journey, and I am here to help you navigate it with patience and care.
Sayanti
I teach yoga because I love seeing that moment when a student stops fighting their body and starts listening to it. Whether you are learning your first headstand or refining a deep backbend, I am right there with you to ensure you feel safe, supported, and grounded.
