Philosophy and Yoga Teacher Training Courses
This is not for those seeking quick fitness routines. If you are ready to study the roots of yoga, explore ancient texts, and train to teach with genuine understanding, you belong here.
The auspicious beginning of our 200-Hour Level 1 Teacher Training Course, marked by the lighting of a lamp and an opening chant. This marks the start of an intensive journey into the heart of yoga.
Our approach is deeply philosophical. In this session, we analyze the ancient text of the Panchatantra to understand timeless principles of life. This intellectual rigor is a cornerstone of our advanced trainings.
Our TTC students learn to use props to achieve proper alignment and deepen their experience in asanas. This clip shows a supported Baddha Konasana, which allows for a more restorative and meditative state in the posture.
About Philosophy & Teacher Trainings
During our 200-hour TTC, you will not just memorize sequences. You will learn the 'why' behind every movement. We use props like straps and bolsters to master alignment in asanas—such as our supported Baddha Konasana practice—ensuring you understand the mechanics of the body before you ever try to guide a class yourself.
Beyond the Mat: The Science of Yoga
Many students come to us asking for yoga that is simply 'relaxing.' While we respect that desire, our philosophy is rooted in vidvatvam (scholarship). We approach the mat with the same rigorous study one would apply to ancient texts like the Panchatantra. We don't teach 'Instagram yoga' or quick-fix routines.
The 200-Hour TTC Approach
Our 200-hour Teacher Training Course (RYT 200) is built for those who want to transition from being students to educators. We focus on:
- Philosophy & History: Understanding the ancient roots, not just the physical postures.
- Alignment & Mechanics: Using props to ensure safety and depth, focusing on how the body moves rather than how it looks in a photo.
- Pranayama & Meditation: Integrating breath control and focus as the core of your teaching methodology.
