This gallery captures the essence of our practice at Nirakula Yoga. We go beyond fitness, integrating sound healing, ancient philosophy, and disciplined techniques to create a space for real inner work.

This is an invitation to our Shamanic Sound Healing session, held under the energy of the full moon. We host guest healers who use instruments like Nepalese shamanic drums and Tibetan singing bowls to create a powerful sound bath, designed to balance the chakras and assist in deep inner transformation.

Nada Yoga is the path of using sound to focus the mind. For many, meditation is a challenge, but Nada Yoga uses audible sound as a tangible object of concentration, making the journey inward more accessible. This is a brief introduction to the philosophy behind our practice.

A glimpse into our New Moon Sound Meditation session. In the quiet of the shala, we use the resonant frequencies of crystal bowls to create a space for self-discovery and inner peace, harnessing the lunar cycle for setting new intentions.

Here, our students practice Trāṭaka, or candle gazing. This is a powerful yogic cleansing technique from Hatha Yoga that involves fixing the gaze on a single point to build immense concentration, sharpen mental clarity, and cultivate a state of meditative awareness.

This shows a Samavaya session, where we integrate Yoga flow with sound. The practice moves through Asanas and Pranayama, using sound meditation to build awareness of the Panchakoshas, the five layers of being, making the journey to the inner self more direct.

In honor of Ratha Saptami, our community gathered to complete 132 rounds of Surya Namaskara. The practice was accompanied by Vedic chanting, demonstrating how we integrate sound and movement in a large, energetic group setting.

A core part of our teaching is exploring the philosophical roots of yogic thought. This is from a discourse on the Panchatantra, where we deconstruct ancient wisdom on friendship and strategy, showing that yoga is not just a physical practice but a deep intellectual and spiritual study.

You will notice that our sound baths use specific 7-metal Tibetan bowls and crystal singing bowls. We do not use them for background ambiance, but to create deliberate frequencies for Nada Yoga. We focus on these precise vibrations to help your mind shift from the noise of the day into a state of focused silence, which is the only way to actually practice meditation.
