Our Shala: In-Studio & Online Yoga Teacher Training

byNirakula YogaStudio at 3rd Block, KoramangalaView full gallery

We do not do 'selfie yoga' here. Our 200-hour training at our Koramangala shala or online is a rigorous study of Hatha Yoga, alignment, and ancient philosophy for those ready to teach.

We offer a hybrid learning model to accommodate our students. Here you can see an in-person adjustment for Natarajasana (Dancer's Pose) happening at the shala, while our online students participate fully via the screen. This ensures everyone receives quality instruction, regardless of their location.

We offer both online and offline classes to suit your needs. This clip shows a group of students practicing Parighasana (Gate Pose) variations in our Koramangala shala, demonstrating the focus on alignment that is central to our teaching style.

Our hybrid classes ensure that everyone is part of the same experience. While students in the shala practice inversions, our online participants are clearly visible on the screen, receiving the same guidance and being part of the collective energy.

The first day of our 200-hour TTC begins with the lighting of a lamp and the chanting of the 'Saha Navavatu' mantra. This auspicious start sets the intention for a journey of shared learning, discipline, and spiritual growth in our shala.

About this collection

You might expect a typical classroom setup, but our shala is designed for deep work. Whether you are on the mat here in Koramangala or joining via Zoom, you practice with the same intention. We use wall ropes, chairs, and bolsters to ensure alignment is not just a concept but a physical reality for every student, regardless of their location.

The Hybrid TTC Experience

We have bridged the gap between physical and digital presence. Our hybrid 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training ensures that online students are not passive observers. They receive real-time, two-way feedback on their practice through studio screens. Whether you are in the room with us in Koramangala or logging in from another city, the curriculum remains identical: intense, structured, and focused on technique.

Why Our Training Is Different

We don't teach yoga as a hobby. We teach it as a sadhana (dedicated practice). Our curriculum is built on three pillars:

  • Alignment & Props: We use Iyengar-inspired techniques, including wall ropes and chairs, to make advanced asanas accessible and safe. You will learn the mechanics of the body, not just the names of poses.
  • Philosophy & Panchatantra: We deconstruct ancient texts to find practical wisdom for modern life. Our philosophy sessions are interactive and designed to make you think, not just memorize.
  • Peer-to-Peer Teaching: You will learn to teach by teaching. Our method requires you to guide your peers, receive direct corrections, and develop the confidence to lead a class safely.

Course Logistics

We offer both intensive weekday batches (6-7 weeks) and slow-burn weekend batches (3-4 months) to accommodate different lifestyles. The training includes your RYT 200 Yoga Alliance certification, comprehensive workbooks, and a hygiene kit for cleansing techniques like Jala Neti. If you are ready for a course that demands discipline and offers real depth, you will find your place here.
