Himalayan Yoga Retreats in Bhutan
Swap your studio mat for the Himalayan horizon. Join me for an active 8-day expedition through Bhutan that blends Vinyasa flows, mindful trekking, and deep cultural immersion.
Our yoga shala in the sky. During our Bhutan retreat, we practice together overlooking the Punakha valley, with views of the historic dzong and the meeting of two rivers. This outdoor group setting is the perfect space to breathe, move, and feel connected to nature.
A moment of personal practice, holding an Eight-Angle Pose with the Himalayan range as my witness. Our Bhutan adventure offers plenty of opportunities for both group sessions and individual exploration, allowing you to challenge yourself and deepen your asana practice in a powerful environment.
We believe in taking our practice off the mat and into the world. This photo captures a spontaneous standing stretch on a traditional bridge over a river in Bhutan. These mindful moments are woven into our treks, helping you stay present and connected to your body while exploring.
This is the magnificent Punakha Dzong, a cultural and spiritual heart of Bhutan that we explore during our retreat. This image gives you a feel for the unique adventure we offer, blending deep yoga practice with rich cultural immersion. Join us for our next journey from September 29th to October 6th.
About Himalayan Adventure: Our Bhutan Retreat
This is not a sit-still-and-meditate vacation. It is an active 8-day expedition where we move from morning Vinyasa flows on open-air decks to rafting down rivers and trekking through pine forests, all while navigating the high-altitude terrain of Bhutan.
Why Bhutan
I created these retreats to take practice off the mat and into the wild. You will not find stagnant luxury resorts here. Instead, we stay in boutique hotels and guesthouses chosen for their connection to the landscape. My goal is to help you disconnect from your everyday routine and find a new kind of energy.
What to Expect
We keep group sizes small, usually 10 to 12 participants, so I can offer real attention to your alignment and practice. Days are structured around two distinct sessions: an active morning Vinyasa or Hatha flow to wake up the body, and an evening Pranayama or restorative session to settle the mind.
Between sessions, we explore. This is an active holiday, so expect to be on your feet. We include guided hikes to iconic spots like the Tiger’s Nest monastery, rafting sessions, and time to visit local Dzongs. You do not need to be an expert yogi to join. You just need to bring your curiosity and a willingness to be a little uncomfortable. If you are open to trying new things and want to challenge your comfort zone, you will fit right in.
Logistics and Inclusions
I want this to be a seamless experience, so we handle the heavy lifting. The package covers your 7-night stay, all local airport transfers in private SUVs, and full board meals featuring local vegetarian cuisine. We also include the Bhutan Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) and all local monument permits, so you can focus entirely on the trek, the flow, and the view.
