Featured Dance Moments and Movement Classes
Movement is my language. Here is a glimpse into how I teach, move, and find flow through contemporary dance and ballet.
This is what my contemporary flow class looks like. It's not about perfect poses, but about exploring movement and pushing our limits together. Here, we are working on a sequence influenced by the 'Flying Low' technique, focusing on speed, flow, and how we relate to the floor.
My classes are a complete journey, starting with structured warm-ups and ballet conditioning to prepare the body. We then move into floorwork, explore techniques like Cunningham for grace, and finish with creative choreography. It's a holistic approach to building strength and finding your own artistic expression.
This is a look at my beginners' batch exploring contemporary dance, many for the first time. We focus on fundamental techniques like falling and rolling, helping students build confidence and get comfortable with a new movement language. It's all about progress, not perfection.
I call this 'Flowtechnique'. It's a blend of contemporary movement, floor work, and acrobatics that I've developed in my own practice. It's about finding that seamless connection between strength, control, and release.
This is a moment from a stage production I was part of, exploring how we wear different masks in life. Seeing movement tell a story on stage is the ultimate goal, and it's what we work towards in my performance batches.
Ballet is the foundation. I use barre exercises in my classes to build core strength, improve posture, and condition the body for more complex movements. This is a clip from my personal practice at home, focusing on the basics.
After a year-long shoulder injury, I'm finding my way back to movement. The journey has been slow, but it taught me so much about listening to my body. This is me, rediscovering my flow and passion for dance.
About this collection
Dance isn't about perfect lines or memorizing steps. In my classes, we use floorwork, ballet basics, and improvisation to build a real conversation with the body. Whether you are learning to fall and roll safely or trying to find your own expression, my focus is always on progress and how your movement feels, not just how it looks.
I believe that movement is a language. When I teach, I combine contemporary dance techniques like 'Flying Low' with ballet fundamentals such as floor barre. This isn't just a workout. It is an exploration of strength, gravity, and control. My sessions are designed for everyone, from absolute beginners taking their first steps to those who want to refine their flow. We break down the physics of movement, teaching you how to use spirals, rolls, and inversions safely. If you have ever felt hesitant about dancing, know that I approach this with the same patience I used during my own recovery from a shoulder injury. I teach at studios across Bengaluru, including HSR Layout, JP Nagar, New BEL Road, and Cunningham Road. You can join a group class for community and shared energy, or we can work 1-on-1 to focus on your specific goals, whether that is technique correction, event preparation, or rehabilitation. I am here to hold space for you to evolve.
