Ballet & Body Conditioning Classes
Ballet is not just about perfect lines here. We use these fundamentals to strengthen your core, improve alignment, and build a foundation for any dance style. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced dancer, my classes are about finding your own flow, one movement at a time.
A simple warm-up focusing on the feet. Articulating through the feet and ankles is a fundamental part of ballet and contemporary training.
I offer personal training for kids in ballet, contemporary, and body conditioning. Here is a student practicing her ballet positions and floor exercises at home.
Connecting with your spine is essential for core stability, body awareness, and freedom of movement. This is a simple improvisation exercise I do to release tension and let my spine guide the movement.
Just following a trend in my own way. This is a compilation of jumps, poses, and shapes from my contemporary and ballet practice.
Everything I need, I already have. This is a moment of calm and meditation before or after a class, using a singing bowl to center myself and my students.
About this collection
In these sessions, we don’t just stand at the barre. We focus on the physics of your movement, how your spine aligns, how your ankles articulate, and how to distribute weight to avoid injury. It’s less about performing for an audience and more about understanding the mechanics of your own body so you can move with more strength and less strain.
Ballet is often seen as rigid, but I see it as the architecture of the body... a blueprint for strength. When I recovered from my shoulder injury, I didn't rush back into heavy cardio. I went back to the floor. I went back to the basics of alignment.
That’s exactly what I bring to these classes. Whether we are doing floor barre or simple port de bras, the focus is always on creating a solid foundation. You don’t need to be a ballerina to benefit from this, you just need to be curious about your own capability.
What we work on
- Core Stability: Engaging deep muscles to support your frame.
- Joint Health: Articulating through ankles, knees, and hips to build resilience.
- Fluidity: Teaching the body to transition smoothly between positions, which helps in any other dance style you might practice later.
These aren't just dance classes. It is conditioning for life. We keep batches small, between 6 to 15 students, across locations like HSR Layout, JP Nagar, and New BEL Road. This ensures I can provide actual feedback on your posture, not just demonstrate steps. Come as you are, barefoot or in socks, and let's explore what your body is actually capable of.
Suraj
Hi, I’m Suraj. For me, dance is a conversation with the body... a way to stay grounded even when life feels chaotic. I teach because I believe everyone has a unique way to move, and ballet is just the tool we use to unlock your strength and fluidity.
