We treat every built space as a living ecosystem, blurring the lines between structure and the natural world to let life flow through freely.

A welcome visitor at Villa Soham. Designing in nature means creating spaces that can be shared with the original inhabitants. This monkey, perched atop the concrete facade, reminds us that we are merely guests in their world.

A story shared by a client that makes our day. The first occupants of the garden at the Mithila project were a hummingbird and a frog, who made their home in the small water body we designed. This is the ultimate success: when nature embraces our work.

The original inhabitants exploring our structure. We see it as a sign of acceptance when local wildlife, like this monkey, uses the architectural elements as part of their natural playground, climbing the rain chains as if they were vines.

About Harmony with Nature

We design spaces where the threshold between indoor and outdoor is porous. Rather than shutting out the world, we create structural elements like rain chains and specific water features that actively invite birds and local wildlife to inhabit the space alongside you. Seeing nature utilize our buildings is, for us, the most honest validation of our work.

Architecture should not impose itself upon the landscape but rather converse with it. In our practice, we move away from the static, enclosed box model. Instead, we observe how a house interacts with its climate and its original inhabitants, from the flora we plant to the fauna that eventually adopts the space as its own.

Take our Mithila project as an example. By designing specific water bodies and integrating treehouse elements, we created an environment that immediately became a sanctuary for local hummingbirds and frogs. It is a subtle shift in perspective. We are not merely building walls; we are fostering a habitat where light, wind, and life are welcome guests.

This approach relies on intentional material choices and structural planning. We utilize elements like open courtyards, extensive fenestration, and natural materials such as exposed brick and stone to create seamless transitions. The objective is to ensure that a resident feels as connected to the garden as they do to their living room. Whether it is a villa in the Nandi foothills or a residence in urban Bengaluru, the goal remains the same: to build structures that breathe, adapt, and ultimately, coexist with their surroundings.
