Product Design and Custom Material Craft
Beyond walls and furniture, we believe in crafting the soul of a space through original product design and thoughtful material experiments.
A video showcasing our tile collection with Trove, inspired by the Indian board games Carrom and Pallankuli. It highlights the modularity of the designs, which abstract the geometric and rhythmic elements of the games into versatile surface patterns.
A mood board illustrating the design process for the Pallankuli-inspired tile. We translated the symmetrical curves and fluid movement of the game into a modular pattern that feels both familiar and modern.
This mood board shows the translation of the Carrom board into a tile design. Key elements like the central striker, clean borders, and corner pockets were reinterpreted into graphic patterns that offer visual order and subtle movement.
A video showcasing our experiments with different types of glass. We explore the uses of fluted glass for privacy, antique mirrored glass for old-world charm, tinted glass for color, and structural glass bricks for feature walls.
This video details the process of creating custom terrazzo surfaces. From mixing aggregates like natural stone and colored glass to pouring the concrete and buffing the final surface, we love the endless design possibilities this age-old technique offers.
About Product Design & Material Craft
We do not just select materials from a catalogue; we often design them from the ground up. Whether it is reinterpreting childhood games like Pallankuli into modular tiles or experimenting with how fluted glass interacts with natural light, we obsess over the tactile details that make a space feel distinctly yours.
For us, a room is more than its layout. It is a story waiting to be told through textures, patterns, and light. Our focus on product design stems from a desire to move away from standardized interiors and create elements that carry personal meaning.
Take our tile collection, for instance. We grew up playing Pallankuli and Carrom, and we wanted to bring that same sense of rhythm and focus into modern homes. By abstracting the geometry of these games, we created modular tiles that feel both nostalgic and contemporary. It is a process that requires working closely with manufacturers to get the clay, glaze, and firing process just right, ensuring the result is as durable as it is beautiful.
Material experimentation is another core pillar. We are constantly testing how different surfaces change a room's mood. We explore the versatility of fluted glass to create privacy without blocking light, the old-world charm of antique mirrors, and the endless, organic potential of cast-in-situ terrazzo. When we design a custom terrazzo tabletop or a feature wall using glass bricks, we are not just adding a finish; we are adding a layer of character that reflects how you actually live in your home.
Every project is an opportunity to refine these details. We believe that when you touch a surface, it should tell a story—whether that is the smooth cool of a marble aggregate or the textured grip of a hand-crafted tile.
