About Special Events & Guest Workshops
When we host guest instructors, the workshop structure shifts slightly. You are not just learning to throw clay on a wheel; you are observing form and texture in real-time, often using real objects like fruits or vegetables as live models. It is a focused, hands-on deep dive that gives you a completely different perspective on what is possible with a lump of stoneware clay.
Pottery is often seen as a solitary craft, but there is incredible energy when we bring people together for a specific focus. Our special events and guest workshops are designed to break the routine. Sometimes we invite visiting artists to teach niche skills, like realistic animal sculpting, which allows you to learn professional techniques you might not pick up in a standard beginner course.
Other times, we open our doors for community fundraisers. These are special days where the focus shifts from personal learning to giving back. You might find yourself creating handmade tiles, vases, or bowls that directly support local causes. It is a chance to connect with other creators in Bangalore and feel that shared creative hum in the room.
For our seasonal workshops, like making clay Ganeshas or festival-themed decor, we guide you through the process from start to finish. We provide all the clay and tools, so you do not need to bring anything but an open mind. If you are worried about your skill level, please do not be. Whether we are sculpting a polar bear or focusing on textured bowls, we keep the environment relaxed. The point is not to create a museum-quality masterpiece on day one, but to understand how to observe, shape, and commit an idea to clay. These sessions are perfect if you want a short, intense burst of creativity without committing to a multi-week course.
