Kusti Garadi: Traditional Indian Wrestling in Vidyaranyapura
We honor our roots with traditional Indian wrestling, or Kusti, in our own mud pit. This is about connecting with the soil and building raw, functional strength just like our ancestors.

About this collection
Don't expect a polished gym floor here. We train on loose, turned soil because that is where the real grip strength comes from. Every session starts with an offering, and we finish by cleaning the pit together. It is not just about winning bouts, it is about respect for the soil.
Building Pailwans, Not Just Fitness
Kusti is more than a workout, it is a test of character. When you step into our Garadi Mane, you leave the modern world outside. Here, we build raw strength that you cannot replicate on a machine. The mud provides unique resistance, forcing you to develop stability and explosive power in your legs and core. If you want to understand how our ancestors forged warriors, this is where you start.
The Training Philosophy
We focus on Matti Kusti, the art of wrestling in the dirt. It is tough, it is messy, and it is honest. You will sweat, you will get dirty, and you will learn the true meaning of discipline. My coaching is direct. I do not sugarcoat your mistakes because in the ring, mistakes lead to defeat. We drill takedowns, escapes, and grappling holds until they become instinct.
Why Train With Us?
- Authentic Environment: Our Garadi is a traditional space, not a commercial gym.
- Proven Results: We regularly compete in state-level tournaments. Our wrestlers are coached to win, not just to participate.
- Mental Fortitude: Wrestling in the mud builds a different kind of mental toughness. It teaches you to stay calm when you are tired, sweaty, and struggling for leverage.
This is a place for anyone with fire in their belly. Whether you are a beginner looking to understand your roots or a competitor aiming for the state podium, we will work. Just bring your will and be ready to sweat.
Madan Gowda
I am Madan, and for me, the Garadi is a temple. I don't just teach moves; I pass down the discipline of our soil, the focus of the Madeshwara, and the fight inside you. If you have the fire, I will build you into a Pailwan.
