While my core focus is residential design, I take on select commercial projects that require a balance of high functionality and professional aesthetics. Here is how I apply my design methodology to non-residential spaces.

The reception and retail area of the R S Veterinary Clinic. I used a calming blue and natural wood palette, with extensive open shelving for products and a prominent logo to reinforce the brand's identity.

The first-floor hallway features a sleek, modern design with a polished granite floor and glass doors. The strip lighting in the deep blue ceiling creates a professional and navigable space.

The pet grooming station is designed for comfort and efficiency. I used color blocking and cheerful pet portraits to create a pleasant and less stressful environment for the animals.

The clinic's laboratory is streamlined and modern. The contrast of blue cabinetry against black subway tiles and wood-look cabinets creates a space that is both bold and professional.

The pet wash area is designed to be durable and easy to clean, with fully tiled surfaces and practical fixtures.

Another view of the clinic's corridor, showing how the modern lighting and reflective floors create a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

This versatile guest and media room on the ground floor of 'Villa Calmora' was designed as a "bachelor pad" for the gentlemen of the house. The abstract wall art adds a playful and dynamic spirit.

An open study area on the first floor of 'Project Varnika', featuring hand-painted Pichwai murals that deepen the home's cultural resonance.

A dry pantry unit outside a bedroom in 'Project Varnika'. The modern finishes with emerald green tiles and black acrylic provide a sophisticated contrast to the home's traditional aesthetic.

A beautiful hand-painted Pichwai mural of a cow and calf, adding a touch of traditional Indian art and spirituality to the home.

About Commercial & Other Projects

Designing a veterinary clinic requires more than just making the space look professional. For the R S Veterinary Clinic, the main challenge was balancing clinical hygiene requirements with an atmosphere that didn't feel cold or intimidating for pets and owners. I prioritized durable, easy-to-clean materials like black subway tiles and polished granite, while using a calming blue palette to keep the environment welcoming and less stressful.
