Commercial Interiors for Cafes, Salons, and Offices
I design commercial spaces that are more than just functional; they are experiences tailored to your brand identity. Whether it is a welcoming pet-friendly cafe or a productive office, I focus on layouts that drive user engagement and reflect your unique story.
The journey of Choco's Cafe began with a traditional Bhoomi Pooja, a ceremony to bless the ground before construction. It was a special moment, marking the first step in bringing this unique pet-friendly cafe to life. Even the future cafe's namesake was in attendance.
This is one of the first design visualizations for Choco's Cafe. It highlights the feature wall with custom-built, organic-shaped niches and a neon sign. The design incorporates natural elements like woven pendant lights and a swing to create a playful and earthy vibe.
A glimpse into the design for Choco’s Cafe, a pet-friendly space opening soon. I used natural textures like wood and bamboo, cozy seating, and vibrant greenery to create a warm and stylish hangout. The design ensures both people and their furry friends feel comfortable and at home, blending rustic charm with modern comfort.
The reception desk at Fingertips Nail Studio sets the tone for the entire space. I designed it with clean white lines, a touch of gold trim, and elegant wall sconces to create a minimalist yet welcoming first impression. The fresh flowers add a soft, natural element to the refined design.
The nail art corner is where creativity blooms. I designed this area with custom floral-backed chairs and a well-lit display of nail polishes, turning the color selection into part of the experience. The bright, clean setup is both functional for the artists and inspiring for the clients.
This shot shows the overall layout of the nail studio, from the pedicure stations with their comfortable high-back chairs to the manicure tables. The color palette of vibrant orange and clean white creates a feeling of playful sophistication. Large windows allow natural light to fill the space, making it feel bright and airy.
A designer's note on the Fingertips Nail Studio project. My vision was to embrace modern minimalism to create a serene sanctuary for beauty enthusiasts. The space exudes elegance and tranquility, offering a peaceful escape for clients to relax and indulge.
Functionality is key in a commercial space. For the manicure stations, I designed sleek, clean-lined tables that provide ample workspace. The ergonomic chairs ensure comfort for both clients and staff, blending practicality with the studio's chic aesthetic.
The pedicure oasis is designed for ultimate relaxation. The plush, tufted high-back chairs offer a sense of privacy and luxury. Every detail, from the warm pendant lighting to the view outside, is chosen to help clients relax, rejuvenate, and repeat.
Pastel accents, like this pink vase with fresh roses, are used to add soft pops of color throughout the studio. These small decorative elements contribute to the playful and creative atmosphere, contrasting beautifully with the clean, modern design of the space.
About Commercial Interiors: Cafes, Salons & Offices
Designing a commercial space requires balancing aesthetics with operational reality. For cafes and high-traffic studios, I prioritize materials that handle daily wear without losing their soul—like heavy-duty laminates, easy-clean floor finishes, and durable joinery. The goal is to create a space that looks pristine in photos but performs exceptionally well on a busy Tuesday afternoon when your customers or employees are actually there.
When we step into a commercial project, the approach shifts from residential coziness to operational efficiency. My process begins by mapping your workflow. For an office, that means understanding the flow of movement between desks and cabins to maximize productivity while maintaining an open, airy feel. For cafes and nail studios like Fingertips, we look at the 'customer journey'—how someone walks in, where they sit, and how the lighting makes them feel.
Why Commercial Design Matters
A well-designed workspace or retail shop acts as your silent salesperson. It communicates your brand values before a single word is spoken. Whether it's integrating a pet-friendly zone in a cafe or creating a serene, minimalist reception for a salon, every element is purposeful.
Key Considerations for Your Space
- Ergonomics & Layout: We plan your floor space to ensure comfort for your team and customers, preventing bottlenecks in high-traffic areas.
- Lighting Strategy: From bright, functional task lighting for desks to ambient, warm glows in cafe corners, light is our primary tool for setting the mood.
- Durable Fit-Outs: We use premium marine-grade plywood and high-quality hardware like Blum or Hettich to ensure your cabinets, desks, and storage units hold up under heavy daily usage.
- Brand Alignment: Your colors, textures, and custom design features (like feature walls or branded signage) are integrated directly into the architecture, not just added on at the end.
We handle projects across Bengaluru and beyond, bringing the same hands-on supervision to commercial sites that we do to our residential work. No shortcuts, just clear communication and a finished space that works as hard as you do.
