About Striking: Kickboxing & Boxing
Our striking sessions are built on repetition and proper form. You will spend your time on heavy bags and focus mitts, with every punch and kick corrected by our coaches. We focus on generating power from the ground up, ensuring your movements are efficient and effective for real-world application, not just fitness cardio.
The Training System
At iPPON, we don't believe in choreography for the sake of looking good. Our striking program is built on Muay Thai fundamentals and traditional boxing mechanics. Every session starts with a conditioning phase to ensure your body is ready, followed by drills that focus on accuracy, distance management, and impact.
What You Will Learn
- Striking Combinations: We teach you how to chain jabs, crosses, hooks, and kicks so they flow naturally.
- Pad Work: You will work with our coaches on focus mitts and Thai pads to sharpen your reaction time and striking speed.
- Heavy Bag Conditioning: This is where you develop real power. You will learn how to hit with intent, engaging your core and hips for every strike.
Facility & Setup
We train in a dedicated space in HSR Layout designed for work, not comfort. The facility features 20mm-25mm interlocking EVA foam mats that provide the necessary grip for footwork while keeping impact low. We use Invincible vinyl heavy bags that can take the punishment of daily training. If you are looking for an air-conditioned studio with mirrors and waiting lounges, this isn't the place. If you are looking for a place to sweat, learn, and actually get stronger, this is it.
Progression
Whether you are a beginner or looking to enter the ring, we cater to your level. We encourage controlled sparring on Saturdays for those who are ready, providing a safe environment to test what you have learned during the week. Our goal is to build your confidence through competence. When you know you can throw a punch correctly, you naturally stand taller.
