About Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) & Grappling
Ippon Martial Arts & Fitness is all about making Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and grappling real for everyone. It’s not about how strong you are, it’s about smart moves and using leverage. Every class is like a chess match - you think, you move, you learn. We keep things practical, focus on fitness, and make sure you get something out of every session.
Who Shows Up Here
- Beginners who just want to try something new or learn the basics from scratch.
- Folks training for competitions - we’ve got Team iPPON, and we’re active at BJJ tournaments like Bangalore Open.
- Anyone bored with gym routines - BJJ is a full-body workout and you pick up real skills.
How We Train
Classes start with warm-ups, rolls, and quick drills. We break down a technique - maybe a takedown or a submission - and drill till it sticks. Sparring (rolling) is controlled but intense. This is where you practice what you learn against others.
Gi or No-Gi?
We train both Gi vs No-Gi grappling. Gi uses the uniform for grips and control, No-Gi is faster, wrestling-based and all about movement.
For Kids Too
Our kids MMA includes grappling for kids. We teach discipline, confidence, and smart ways to handle tough situations.
What Drives Us
We believe in hard work. You show up, you put in effort, you see progress. No shortcuts, just training and a solid team vibe.

My Story
We’re iPPON, and martial arts isn’t just kicks and punches for us. It’s how we live, breathe, grow. Our head coach Ragesh’s journey took him from UFC gyms in Texas to learning from masters everywhere. Still a student, always. Nothing beats watching our folks—kids, adults—walk taller, win medals, and cheer each other on. Team iPPON in HSR isn’t just a gym, it’s our squad, our family.
