Defensive awareness is just as important as offense. We drill defensive blocks immediately after throwing combos to build the muscle memory needed to stay safe from counterattacks.
Changing angles is key to outsmarting your opponent. Here we drill a stance switch and parry to evade a cross and immediately create an angle for a counter-strike.

About this collection
Look, striking isn't just about throwing hands. It's about how you move your feet and keep your guard up while you're attacking. In our sessions, we focus on high-rep bag work and partner drills where you actually learn to parry shots, not just punch the air. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your fight IQ, this is where you build the muscle memory that stays with you.
How We Train Striking at Kaizen
Striking at our HSR Layout gym isn't about looking good—it's about learning the science of the fight. We break down the arts of Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai into fundamental building blocks so you understand the 'why' behind every movement.
The Kaizen Approach:
- Foundation First: We don't skip the basics. You start with proper stance, footwork, and balance before we ever worry about power. You need to know how to move before you can land a clean shot.
- Defense-Centric: Many people obsess over offense, but we drill defensive awareness early. You will learn to slip, parry, and check kicks so you stay safe while you're working.
- 1% Improvement: Whether you join for fitness or you're on the Road to UFC program, we track your progress. You’ll see it in your bag work, your pad work, and your sparring.
What You Can Expect
We train in a 'squad' environment. It's tough, it’s sweaty, and it’s real. We use industrial fan cooling for conditioning acclimatization because fighting is hard, and training should prepare you for that intensity. You won't find ego on our mats; you will find a group of people—from total freshers to amateur fighters—who are all there to help you get better.
Our classes run 7 days a week, covering morning and evening batches, so you have no excuse to miss a session. If you want to learn how to chain combinations, master your angles, and actually understand the striking game, this is where you start.
