Functional Conditioning and Fitness for Combat
We build real strength that translates to the mat. No machines, no gimmicks, just functional training to improve your power, endurance, and mobility for martial arts.
A look at some of our advanced bodyweight conditioning exercises. This sequence includes backward rolls for agility and pull-up bar leg raises to build a strong core.
We incorporate mobility and bodyweight strength training into every session. These movements are crucial for injury prevention and developing functional athletic ability.
An overhead view of our agility and speed training setup. We use ladders, cones, and hurdles to improve footwork, coordination, and explosive power.
About Functional Conditioning
We don't use machines because machines don't fight back. You will train with kettlebells, agility ladders, and bodyweight circuits on our foam mats. These drills are designed for functional strength that translates directly to combat, helping you build the endurance to survive a hard sparring round and the explosiveness to execute a takedown.
At iPPON, our approach to functional conditioning is simple: if it does not make you a better fighter, we do not do it. You are training for reality, not for a mirror.
Our HSR Layout facility is equipped with heavy bags, kettlebells ranging from 8kg to 16kg, and agility ladders. We do not use AC or complex gym machines. We use sweat, floor space, and discipline. Whether you are prepping for a competition or just looking to get into the best shape of your life, our circuits are tailored to push your physical limits.
We focus on these areas:
- Agility: Using ladders and cones to improve your footwork and reaction time.
- Explosive Strength: Using bodyweight moves like pull-up bar leg raises and plyometrics to build power.
- Endurance: 20-minute HIIT circuits designed to keep your heart rate up and your gas tank deep.
This is not about hitting personal bests on a machine. It is about mobility, injury prevention, and building a body that can handle the impact of combat sports. Join a batch, work hard, and see the results on the mats.
