Featured Athletics & Cricket Performance Training
This is the slog. We don't do shortcuts. From 140kg deadlifts to stadium sprints, this is where athletes come to build real power and character. See how we turn grit into results.
This is what we mean by the slog. Here, one of our female cricketers executes a 140kg hex bar deadlift during her off-season program. We build real, functional strength that translates directly into power on the cricket field.
The results speak for themselves. This is a snapshot of our athlete Divya Gnanananda's incredible ODI stats, which earned her a spot in the NCA's India Targeted Players Camp. We train athletes to perform at the highest level.
Building a powerful engine is non-negotiable. Our athletes push their limits with cricket-specific stamina workouts like these intense uphill sprints, ensuring they never gas out during a long innings or fielding session.
We believe saadhanege kammi illa, even without sight, there’s no limit to achievement. We are incredibly proud of our athlete Ganga, Vice Captain of the Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team and a Para Games medalist. Our tribe is for everyone.
Explosive power is key for a cricketer. Here, our athletes work on plyometric box jumps, a core exercise in our program designed to improve vertical leap, running speed between wickets, and dynamic fielding ability.
All the gym work pays off on the field. Watch our athlete Divya take a crucial catch for India A. Our training focuses on developing the agility, reaction time, and confidence needed to perform under pressure in a real match.
We blend modern science with traditional strength building. Here, our athletes are training in a 'Garadi Mane' sand pit, an old-school method that builds incredible lower body strength, stability, and resistance.
About this collection
We do not just put you on a treadmill. Whether you are prepping for a cricket season or building strength as a para-athlete, our programming is periodized to match your goals. You will see us using the traditional Garadi Mane sand pit alongside modern Olympic barbells. It is about balancing raw, heavy compound strength with sport-specific agility. If you are ready to wake up at 5 AM and commit to the process, you will fit right in.
Our Philosophy: Embrace the Slog
At the Indian Athletic Academy, we believe real results aren't built on gym influencers or flashy equipment. They are built on consistency, 5 AM starts, and a refusal to give up. Our training environment is raw and focused, designed specifically for athletes who need functional, explosive power.
The Hybrid Approach
We don't pick between science and tradition—we use both. Our programming includes:
- Modern Strength: 140kg deadlifts and heavy squat cycles for pure, raw strength.
- Traditional Conditioning: We utilize the Garadi Mane (traditional mud pit) for stability and tendon strength that machine-based training simply cannot replicate.
- Cricket-Specific Agility: We move from the gym floor to the Kittur Rani Chennamma Stadium in Jayanagar to apply that strength to the field—working on fielding reflexes, sprint mechanics, and endurance to ensure you don't gas out during long innings.
A Tribe For Everyone
We are more than a facility; we are a community. We proudly coach pro cricketers, aspiring juniors, and para-athletes. We treat every member with the same level of intensity and respect. Whether you are a para-athlete looking to compete or a cricketer aiming for the NCA, our team in Kumaraswamy Layout provides the mentorship and accountability you need to fail better and finally win.
Stop looking for the easy way out. Come train with the tribe.
