About Featured
Architecture is rarely about just the structure. When you look at our work, you are seeing the result of a rigorous 'charcha' process, where we bring residents, stakeholders, and experts together before the first line is drawn. We do not impose a vision, we facilitate one. Whether it is a housing society redevelopment or a university block, our focus is on uncovering the specific needs of the users to ensure the final environment is not just functional, but genuinely improves daily life.
Our Approach to Urban Transformation
We design for the long term. Our featured projects reflect a diverse range of challenges, yet they are united by a common philosophy: people-centric, climate-responsive architecture.
Redevelopment with Empathy In projects like the Girgaum Ekata CHS, we treat redevelopment as a social exercise. It is about retaining the community spirit of older housing societies while modernizing infrastructure. We focus on optimizing carpet area and integrating green terraces, ensuring that the transition from old to new enhances the quality of life for every resident.
Nature as Infrastructure The Malabar Hill Forest Trail represents our commitment to sensitive urban intervention. Rather than treating the environment as a backdrop, we treat it as an essential component of the city. By utilizing elevated walkways that float above the forest floor, we create access to nature without disturbing the existing ecosystem. This approach reduces the environmental footprint while providing Mumbaikars with a necessary reprieve from urban density.
Interactive Learning Environments When designing institutional spaces like the Sona University Centre in Salem, we look beyond the classroom. We focus on 'spatial choreography' to encourage spontaneous interaction between students and faculty. By creating double-height volumes and integrating natural light, we blur the lines between formal library zones and informal social spaces, making the campus a place that fosters continuous learning.
