Women's Wellness Through Gentle Yoga Therapy
Gentle movement and breathwork can change how you feel during your cycle and pregnancy. Let’s focus on comfort and alignment, not just exercise.
If you struggle with painful periods, practicing these simple asanas a few days before your cycle can make a huge difference. I guide you through poses like Butterfly and Reclined Butterfly to help ease cramps, reduce discomfort, and regulate your flow.
About Women's Wellness: Prenatal & Period Pain
When dealing with period pain or prenatal needs, standard fitness yoga often misses the mark. We do not just stretch, as I guide you through specific poses like the Reclined Butterfly to release pelvic tension and regulate flow naturally. It is about understanding what your body needs to calm down, not forcing your way through the pain.
Understanding Your Cycle
Many women come to me struggling with period pain, PCOD, or PCOS. These are not just medical conditions to manage with medicine; they are signals from your body. In our sessions, we focus on specific asanas like Padangustasana and Butterfly pose to improve blood flow to the pelvic region. This is about working with your body, not against it. We also integrate 15 to 20 minutes of breathwork, as calming the nervous system is the first step in reducing cramping.
Prenatal Care and Comfort
Pregnancy is a special time, but it brings physical changes that need support. My prenatal approach is strictly safe and supportive. We use props like chairs, blocks, and belts to ensure you never feel overstretched or unsafe. The goal is to keep you mobile, improve your posture, and prepare your body for birth with gentle breathing exercises and restorative poses.
Why Yoga Therapy Matters
Yoga is a holistic path. Whether you are dealing with hormonal imbalances or pregnancy-related discomfort, we start with a 10 to 15-minute conversation. I need to understand your history, not just your symptoms. We look at the root cause, which can sometimes involve addressing things like navel displacement, which often impacts digestive and reproductive health.
Our Practice Structure
If you join our monthly therapeutic batches (10 to 12 students), you get individual attention on alignment. If you prefer deep, private work, my 1-on-1 sessions allow us to focus entirely on your healing. We use Iyengar-style props to ensure every pose is accessible, regardless of your experience level. Let’s find that balance together, friends.
