Aerial Yoga: Float and Flow Classes in Delhi
Using hammocks to float and flow helps you decompress your spine and build core strength. It is a therapeutic way to stretch deeper, whether you are a beginner or looking to advance your practice.
Two students work together in a partner aerial pose, using the hammock for support. This demonstrates how aerial yoga can also incorporate elements of Acro Yoga, building trust and synchronized movement.
Here, two students perform a beautiful, symmetrical partner pose using the aerial silk. One acts as the base while the other is suspended, showcasing the strength and grace that can be developed through this practice.
This dynamic partner pose in the aerial hammock requires both strength from the base partner and flexibility from the flyer. It is a perfect example of the playful and challenging nature of our aerial workshops.
An inverted Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose) in the aerial hammock. This inversion is great for opening the hips and improving circulation, and the student's smile shows the joy and confidence this practice brings.
I am providing hands-on assistance to a student in a supported plank pose. My guidance ensures correct alignment and helps the student feel secure while building upper body and core strength in the aerial hammock.
A closer look at a partner aerial pose, with me observing to ensure safety and proper form. The hammock supports both students, allowing them to create a shape that would be impossible on the mat alone.
A student demonstrates a supported Hanumanasana (split) in the aerial hammock. The silk provides leverage to deepen the stretch safely, helping to improve hamstring and hip flexor flexibility.
This video montage shows several students enjoying their aerial yoga practice. You can see the variety of poses and the happiness on their faces as they use the hammocks to stretch, invert, and fly.
A student hangs in an inverted Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose) within the aerial silk. This pose is excellent for spinal decompression and brings a calming effect to the mind.
A student enjoys a gentle backbend, Dhanurasana (Bow Pose), while supported by the hammock. This variation makes the pose more accessible and allows for a deep stretch across the chest and shoulders.
About Aerial Yoga: Float & Flow
Most students worry that aerial yoga is just for acrobats, but the real benefit is spinal decompression. I use professional-grade silks to safely take the weight off your joints, allowing you to hang and stretch in ways that simply are not possible on a standard mat.
Aerial yoga is more than just fun poses. It is about using the hammock as a supportive tool to improve mobility. When you invert, you allow gravity to do the work, which helps relieve the pressure on your spine after a long day at the desk. I emphasize safety above all else, keeping my batches small with only 8 to 12 students. This allows me to provide hands-on spotting for every student, whether we are doing simple stretches or more advanced inversions.
My sessions are designed to progress naturally. We start with floor-based preparation to build the necessary grip and core strength, then move into the silks. Whether you are at 21 Fitness in Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj, or Kailash Health Village in Noida, my focus remains the same: helping you feel lighter and more connected to your body. If you have specific stiffness, back pain, or just want a new way to move, come try a session. We focus on breathing, alignment, and finding peace in the practice, not just the physical look of the pose.
