RunPundit: Running Coaching & Community in Bengaluru
We don’t just log miles; we build runners. Whether you are aiming for your first 5k or training for a marathon, our community provides the coaching, strength work, and safety you need to grow.
This is what it's all about. Running together on the beautiful Agara Lake trail, surrounded by nature. We believe every step counts, and it's always better when we take them together. This is the heart of our women's running community in Bangalore.
I am incredibly proud of our runners celebrating their podium finishes at the Wipro Bengaluru Marathon. This picture captures the result of their dedication and our collective hard work. Seeing our community members achieve their ambitions is my greatest reward.
Our program is about more than just running. This video shows a typical multi-disciplinary session at Lakshyan Academy, where we combine strength training in the gym with fun warm-ups and even pool recovery sessions to build well-rounded, injury-free athletes.
We welcome everyone, especially beginners. Our 'Back to Basics' sessions at Agara Lake are designed to build a strong foundation with gentle running drills and essential mobility work like yoga, ensuring a safe and encouraging start to your running journey.
Perfecting our form is key to running efficiently and preventing injuries. Here, two of our runners are in perfect sync during a running drills session, focusing on high knees and proper arm carriage to improve their stride.
This is a glimpse into one of our exclusive 'With Women We Run' sessions. It's a space where we focus on building strength, camaraderie, and confidence through fun, interactive exercises. We are proud to be part of this global movement.
The joy of finishing a race and earning that medal is unmatched. Here, members of our community celebrate after the Wings for Life World Run, a fantastic event where we run for a cause. It's moments like these that forge the strongest bonds.
About this collection
If you are worried about starting, our 'Back to Basics' sessions at Agara Lake are the perfect entry point. We don’t just throw you into a group run; we take the time to evaluate your gait, check your form, and ensure you are training safely before you ever worry about pace or distance.
Running is not just about the distance you cover; it is about how you move and how you feel while doing it. At RunPundit, my approach to coaching is built on three pillars: consistency, safety, and community.
The 'With Women We Run' Philosophy
We are a proud part of the global 'With Women We Run' movement. I started this in Bengaluru because I saw a gap in safe, supported spaces for women runners. Whether you are running late at night or early in the morning, you will always have a group or a pacer with you. We keep our group runs safe, vetted, and inclusive.
Beyond the Road
To build a strong runner, you need more than just running. Our weekly schedule integrates:
- Form Correction: We use video analysis to fix your stride and reduce injury risk.
- Strength & HIIT: Thursdays are dedicated to resistance training and circuit work to power your run.
- Recovery: Yoga and mobility sessions are part of the program to ensure your muscles recover effectively.
Where We Train
You can find us running across the city. We hold our core sessions at Agara Lake, track work at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium in HSR Layout, and long endurance runs at Cubbon Park.
Why Join?
Many of our members joined when they were struggling to finish a 1k run. Today, they are crossing marathon finish lines. If you are looking for a community that cheers for your progress, pushes you during the hard intervals, and celebrates your personal bests, you are in the right place.
Vikas Srinivasan
I believe running fixes more than just your fitness; it fixes your entire life. I have built a space where you don’t just train for a race—you find a team that pushes you and keeps you safe, whether we're on the trails of Agara Lake or the tracks of HSR.
