Yoga and calisthenics don't always need a gym. Whether it's a park in Gurugram or a rooftop at sunset, we use the space around us to build real strength.

This is what I call a 'desi' workout. We use what we have, like a tree branch for pull-ups and a dirt path for Hindu push-ups. This is about getting back to basics and building real, functional strength that you can use anywhere.

There's nothing like practicing outdoors as the sun sets. This scorpion pose on my rooftop is a testament to what consistent practice can achieve. The open sky and quiet focus make moments like these incredibly special.

Taking my arm balance practice to the park. Holding an eight-angle pose on the grass connects me to the earth and challenges my stability. It’s a joyful way to move and be present in nature.

A beautiful flow in the park, moving from backbends to inversions. The fresh air and natural surroundings bring a different kind of energy to the practice, making every movement feel more alive and purposeful.

Working on my forearm stand balance in a local park. The soft ground and open space provide a safe and inspiring environment to practice challenging skills and enjoy the feeling of being upside down.

A simple handstand practice on the rooftop at sunset. The silhouette captures the shape and stillness of the pose. Moments like these are a reminder of the peace and power that come from connecting with your body.

This is a video of my forearm stand practice on the rooftop. The clear sky and quiet atmosphere help me focus on the subtle adjustments needed to maintain balance in this challenging inversion.

Fitness isn't always serious. Here's a playful look at my practice on the rooftop, moving from a headstand to a backbend. It's about enjoying the process and being grateful for what my body can do.

A rooftop flow at dusk, moving from a headstand into a crow pose. I believe the only way to grow stronger is to challenge yourself every day, and finding new transitions is a great way to do that.

A slow and controlled flow on the rooftop. Practicing poses like the peacock and headstand with deliberate slowness builds deep muscular strength and control that is essential for advanced calisthenics.

About Outdoor & Desi Workouts

I don't use fancy gym machines. Most of my 'desi' workout sessions happen on grass or turf, using simple tools like tree branches and your own bodyweight for movements like Hindu push-ups. It is about building functional strength that translates to real-world movement.
