A glimpse into the reality of life as a musician — from sound checks and travel to the daily rhythm of practice.

A happy moment during sound check in Indore. This is the time to get comfortable with the stage and the sound before the audience arrives.

Sound check diaries. A quick practice run to make sure the tabla sounds perfect through the microphones and speakers.

Enjoying a moment of peace and music in nature. The love of nature and art are languages that connect us all.

A look inside the Ustad Alla Rakha Institute of Music in Mumbai. This is where my training happens, a temple of learning for me.

A portrait from a performance, feeling the music and the moment. The connection with the audience is what makes live music magical.

Another shot from the sound check in Indore. The anticipation and excitement before a show are a big part of the experience.

A simple portrait from a performance. Every time I sit down to play, I feel a sense of gratitude and purpose.

About Additional Moments

Most people only hear the final performance, but the magic truly starts during the sound check. That is when I tune my Dayan and Bayan to the venue's specific acoustics and sync with the sound engineer to ensure the rhythm hits just right. These quiet, pre-show moments are just as vital to the music as the final set.

My musical journey is not just about the final stage performance. It is about the daily riyaaz (practice) at the Ustad Alla Rakha Institute of Music, the long travel hours to different cities, and the focus required before every gig. Whether I am tuning in for a concert in Indore or performing at a private baithak, these moments define my life as a musician.

This gallery is a look at that side of my work—the preparation, the travel, and the respect I keep for every note I play. When you hire me, you get someone who understands that professional sound requires serious preparation, collaboration with sound engineers, and respect for the venue. If you are looking for a musician who takes the behind-the-scenes effort as seriously as the concert, let us connect.
