About Behind the Scenes
My performance days are never just about walking onto the stage. It is hours of sound checks, coordinating with my bandmates, and managing the technical setup that makes a show work. Whether I am prepping for a college festival or an intimate private gig, that focus on the details is how I keep the sound tight and the energy consistent for every audience.
What you see on stage is just the tip of the iceberg. Behind the scenes, it is a constant cycle of rehearsals, gear maintenance, and collaborating with my mentor, Richard. When I perform solo, it is all about creating an intimate connection, but when the Moksha All Stars band joins, it is a different beast entirely. We focus heavily on the sound check ritual because that is where we dial in the mix for the specific venue acoustics. I genuinely enjoy the process of tailoring my sets, whether that means pulling out a Queen anthem or playing one of my original indie tracks. For me, connecting with the crowd, whether it is at a busy summit in Bangalore or a quiet gathering, is the best part. I am always juggling logistics, but it is that chaos that makes the final performance feel real.
