Speed isn't just about fast legs, it's about raw, explosive power. Whether we're on the track with resistance sleds or training in the gym, we build the strength that separates winners from the rest.

Every rep counts. Whether an athlete needs support with a resistance band or can do it on their own, progress is progress. We build foundational strength one push up at a time.

Resistance running, or drag running, is a key workout for improving acceleration and stride power. The champs are getting ready to rock by building the strength needed to explode off the line.

Strength is the key to speed. In the gym, we focus on explosive lifts that build power, which we then convert into faster running and quicker movements on the field.

It's all about getting faster. Here, I'm working with an athlete on resistance drills to build core and lower body strength, which is essential for improving sprint speed.

Sledge running is a demanding workout that engages the entire body. It's one of the best ways to improve acceleration, running posture, and overall power during the off season.

These are our off season drills to run faster. Sledge running builds incredible strength in the drive phase, which is crucial for a powerful 100m sprint.

A sprinter's weight training is different. It's not about getting bulky; it's about building functional, explosive strength that translates directly to speed on the track. Here, an athlete performs squats and other key lifts.

Resistance running is a fantastic tool for improving an athlete's speed to strength ratio. It helps them generate greater force during starts and accelerations, making them more powerful on the track.

To run faster and jump higher, you must build your strength. It is one of the most important factors for any athlete, and it's a core component of my training philosophy.

Strength training sessions at Go Speed. We use a variety of exercises, including plyometrics and weight plate drills, to build the power our athletes need to perform.

About Strength & Explosive Power

Look, running faster isn't just about pounding the pavement. If you want to shave seconds off your timing, you need to fix your energy leaks. We use resistance running and heavy sled drills to build the force you need to explode off the start line. It’s not about bulk; it’s about making sure every muscle fiber fires the second that whistle blows.

Building the Engine

Speed is a product of force application. My training at IIT Delhi and GD Goenka focuses on converting raw gym strength into track speed. We don't lift like bodybuilders; we lift to sprint. If your strength doesn't transfer to the track, it’s useless weight.

The Go Speed Approach

  • Resistance Running: Using sleds, bands, and harness drills to force your legs to push harder against the ground. This improves your drive phase and acceleration.
  • Explosive Plyometrics: Box jumps, hurdle hops, and depth jumps to train your nervous system for rapid, high-impact movements.
  • Functional Lifting: We focus on compound movements like squats and lunges, but with protocols designed for sprinters—focusing on speed of execution, not just the weight on the bar.

Why Technique Wins

You can be the strongest person in the gym, but if your biomechanics are off, you're leaking energy. Every session includes correction. I look at your start, your stride length, and your foot strike. We fix the leaks so the power we build actually translates to a faster time on the clock. If you’re a cricketer needing that extra gear between wickets or a sprinter hunting for a personal best, this is where you build the foundation.

I’m Amit Khanna. I held the title of the fastest man in India back in my day, but now my focus is purely on the next generation of athletes. I don't care about your potential unless you're willing to put in the work. I provide the plan and the push; you bring the hunger.
