Training for Para-Athletes
I am deeply committed to training para-athletes and helping them achieve their dreams on a national and international stage. My coaching focuses on customized training plans that enhance their unique strengths, leading to personal bests, national records, and medals at events like the Asian Para Games.
Sprint & Acceleration Drills
Speed is a skill that can be taught, and it all starts with the right drills. I focus on perfecting the fundamentals of sprinting, from the drive phase out of the blocks to maintaining top speed. This section shows various drills I use on the track and grass to make my athletes faster and more efficient runners.
Strength & Explosive Power
Speed doesn't come from running alone; it's built in the gym and through powerful, explosive movements. I incorporate strength training with weights, resistance bands, and plyometrics to build the raw power my athletes need. This converts into faster times and higher jumps on the field.
Agility, Coordination & Hurdle Drills
Speed is not just about moving in a straight line. I use a variety of hurdle drills and plyometrics to improve an athlete's agility, hip mobility, coordination, and balance. These exercises are essential for refining running mechanics and building the explosive power needed for both sprinting and jumping events.
Endurance & Mental Fortitude
A race is won as much in the mind as it is on the track. My training is designed to push athletes beyond their comfort zones, building not just speed endurance but also the mental toughness to fight through fatigue. In these workouts, there is no friendship, only hard work.
My Coaching Philosophy & Tips
As a former national champion, I have a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed. In these videos, I share my knowledge on everything from proper running form and race strategy to nutrition and injury prevention. My goal is to give my athletes the technical and mental tools they need to win.
Coaching Professional Cricketers
Speed is a game changer in any sport, including cricket. I work with professional cricketers like IPL star Abhishek Sharma to improve their running between the wickets, agility on the field, and overall explosive power. My training helps them convert ones into twos and turn half chances into brilliant catches.
Youth Foundation Program
The habits and skills developed in childhood form the foundation for an athlete's entire career. My youth program focuses on making fitness fun while teaching the correct techniques for running, jumping, and coordination from a young age. I believe in catching them young and setting them on the right path.
My Journey: From Champion to Coach
Before I was a coach, I was an athlete. I was the fastest man in India from 1995 to 1998, holding national records and winning championships. This personal experience on the track gives me a unique insight into the physical and mental demands of sprinting, which I now pass on to the next generation of champions.
Holistic Athlete Care: Recovery & Wellness
A complete athlete is a healthy athlete. I believe in a holistic approach that includes not just intense training but also proper recovery and wellness practices. This includes yoga for flexibility and breathing, as well as guided relaxation to help the mind and body recover after a heavy workout.
