Here is a little studio 'jugaad' I swear by. Instead of expensive wire tools that fray, I use simple fishing line to get a clean cut every time. It's a small hack that makes a big difference.

In my workshops, we keep group sizes small—usually around six people—so you get real, hands-on guidance for every pinch or slab technique. I don’t just teach you the steps; I show you the 'jugaad' hacks to fix common mistakes, like using fishing wire for cleaner cuts. Whether you’re here for a solo unwind or a fun date, you’ll walk out with something you actually made, not just a souvenir.
What Happens in the Studio
When you walk into my Indiranagar studio, you aren't just attending a class; you're joining a community of makers. I started GOAK Ceramics to be a space where people could disconnect from their screens and reconnect with their hands.
My 'Clay Date' workshops are designed for everyone, especially if you have never touched clay before. We focus on handbuilding—using pinching, coiling, and slab techniques to create functional art like mugs, planters, or incense burners. For those who want to go deeper, my weekend courses cover wheel throwing fundamentals, giving you enough time to get comfortable with the clay.
From Muddy Hands to Food-Safe Ceramics
There is a real process behind your finished piece. After the workshop, your work stays with me to go through the messy, vital stages: slow drying to prevent cracking, a bisque firing, careful glazing, and a final high-temperature glaze firing. This ensures that the bowl or mug you make is food-safe, microwave-safe, and ready for your morning chai.
Why My Classes Are Different
I intentionally cap my sessions at six participants. This allows me to actually walk around the table and help you with your technique, whether it's structural integrity for a tealight house or getting the right thickness for a plate. I provide all the tools, aprons, and treats for your break—you just need to bring your enthusiasm and maybe a few friends.
