My 'Paw-try' Animal-Themed Ceramic Collection
I bring my love for animals into the studio, shaping whimsical mugs, ring holders, and decor that tell a story. Here is a peek into my 'Paw-try' creations.

About My 'Paw-try' Art Collection
When I sculpt these pieces, the biggest challenge is not just getting the shape right; it is capturing the character of the animal without losing the function of the object. Whether I am hand-building a cat-shaped ring dish or shaping a bear-faced mug, I focus on the expression and the tactile feel so it is something you actually want to reach for every morning.
This 'Paw-try' collection started with a simple sketch of my own furry friends and evolved into a range of functional art that adds a little whimsy to the daily grind. Creating animal-themed ceramics requires a specific kind of patience, especially when working with stoneware clay that needs precise drying times before it hits the kiln.
Most of these pieces, like the bunny-topped jars or the dog-tail bookmarks, go through a rigorous two-firing process. First, I bisque fire them to harden the clay, then apply food-safe glazes, and finally, I glaze fire them at high temperatures to ensure they are durable enough for daily use.
If you are looking for a unique gift or something special for your own home in Indiranagar, I also take custom commissions. I love collaborating on pieces that celebrate a specific pet breed or a funny memory. We can discuss the design, the timeline, and the 'clay math' behind making your idea a reality.
Gauri Oak
I am Gauri, and my studio in Indiranagar is where I turn lumps of clay into these little animal characters. I do not believe in mass-producing boring items; I pour my heart into every piece so that when you hold it, you feel a genuine connection to the craft.
