About Self-Defence Training
We see self-defence as more than just throwing a punch. For us, it's about finding your own strength and learning how to handle yourself when things get real. Our sessions are totally hands-on - you’ll actually use what you learn, not just watch and hope for the best.
Who Can Join
- We work with all kinds of folks - single participants, big groups, even full institutions.
- Women’s self-defence classes are a big deal here. We make sure the space feels supportive, and we’ve run special camps just for women, like with the Bengaluru City Women Police.
- Got a group at college or work? We set up group self-defense training that fits your crowd.
What We Cover
- Basics first: stances, balance, drills - all that to get your body used to moving right.
- Real, practical self-defence skills: strikes, blocks, holds, and takedowns that work in real-life attack scenarios.
- You’ll get to practice with partners, not just hit air.
How We Train
- Demos from both men and women instructors. No confusion, you see it up close.
- You try, we watch - and we’ll jump in to fix your form if something’s off.
- Our place is safe. Mats everywhere, good gear, so you can focus on learning, not worrying.
Just ask our past participants - “ellam vishayamum alagaa engalukku solli kuduthaanga... romba romba nalla enjoy pannom” (they taught us everything beautifully… we enjoyed it a lot).

My Story
We’re GETHNAA, born out of the idea that adventure isn’t just a break from routine—it shapes who you are. We’ve watched shy kids step up and lead, and trained women police constables in self-defence. You’ll find us on rivers, rocks, and trails across Karnataka, always chasing that spark when someone discovers what they’re really made of. That’s why we do what we do. Nature’s got lessons no classroom can teach.
