About Self-Defense Workshops
Why I Do This
Karate changed my life, and teaching self-defense is how I give back. My workshops aren’t about making you a fighter in one day. It’s about making you feel strong in your own skin and ready for what the world throws at you. That spark in someone’s eye after learning something new - that’s what keeps me going.
How My Workshops Work
I focus on practical self-defense techniques, not fancy moves you’ll forget in a week. We start with basics: being alert, trusting your gut, and simple ways to protect your space. Anyone can join - zero experience or fitness needed. I believe awareness is the first step, not aggression.
Who It’s For
- Women’s groups: We tackle situations you actually face. I’ve done huge sessions, like at Sacred Heart College, and the energy is always super inspiring.
- School & college students: These are fun, energetic, and all about learning basic moves and building confidence.
- Professional teams: For police or security, we go deeper—more tactical, more intense.
What To Expect
No stress, no judgment. My team and I demo on stage, then everyone joins in. Big group energy, lots of practice, and we always keep it real for namma safety (our safety). Most of my workshops happen around Tirupattur and Vellore, and I bring the training to you—college, company, you name it.
Not A Solo Show
I owe everything to my teachers, especially Karate Shihan N.Katiravan. Sometimes, I team up with Manikandan Master and others from BGI. We’re all about making safety a real thing, together.

My Story
Hey, I’m Karate Naveen. Life’s best when you’re making memories, right? I’m a Martial Arts Master, but honestly, I’m always learning. Trained in India, Japan, and even had some crazy good times in Indonesia. Just finished my B.Com in Tirupattur – parents over the moon! Last year, my own college called me to teach self-defense for girls. That felt unreal. Besides karate, I’m all about family, friends, and even a bit of acting in Tamil cinema. Tirupattur and its sandalwood, super close to my heart.
My Work
Martial Arts & Self-Defense Classes - I teach Karate, Silambam, Gymnastics, Kobudo, Kung-fu, Ushu, Boxing, plus women’s self-defense and summer camps.
Champion’s Coaching - As an international karate champion, I train students with the same fire. My BGI champs have won big!
For All Ages - Kids, college students, anyone wanting strength and discipline – you’re welcome. Basics first, then step-by-step growth.
Respect for Masters - I learn from grandmasters and bring those traditional Kobudo lessons and techniques to my students. Karate family vibes always.
