About Kathak Classes & Workshops
I live and breathe Kathak. For me, it’s not just a dance - it’s a sacred connection, something that gives meaning to my life. My journey started under the guidance of legends like Pandit Birju Maharaj ji and Saswati Senji. Whatever I know, it’s all guru kripa (blessings of my teachers). I want to share that same purity and soul with anyone who’s genuinely interested.
How I Teach
My classes follow the Guru-Shishya tradition in Kathak, rooted in the Lucknow Gharana. It’s not just about learning steps - it’s about discipline, devotion, and feeling the culture. I try to make sure you don’t just copy movements, but actually understand the art and its spiritual depth.
Classes & Workshops
- Regular Kathak classes in Mumbai (Andheri West studio) for those who want to build a strong foundation.
- Specialized Kathak choreography workshops, both online and offline, for all levels. We explore themes, festival choreographies, and technical pieces like Tukda, Paran, and Teentaal rhythm Kathak lessons.
- Beginner Kathak dance classes available online, so you can join from anywhere.
My Students
I feel proud seeing my students perform and win awards at events like Bal Kala Utsav. Their dedication is inspiring, and honestly, it’s the best part of teaching.

My Story
Kathak for me? It’s everything. I learnt under Maharaj ji and Saswati Didi at Kalashram - that place is like my second home. Sometimes I’m in Delhi, sometimes Mumbai, always dancing. Once dreamt of studying at SRCC, but life had other plans - ended up judging a dance show there years later! My Gurus’ blessings, lots of riyaaz (practice), and the stage - that’s my real story. Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah.
My Work
What I offer - Solo and group Kathak performances, choreography, regular and special Kathak classes, and I judge dance competitions.
My Kathak roots - I belong to the Lucknow Gharana - all my training is under Maharaj ji and Saswati Didi, and I teach the same way.
How I teach - All sincere learners welcome, from total newbies to advanced. I focus on both Nritta (technique) and Nritya (expression).
Performances & choreography - I’ve performed and choreographed productions like 'Ramasmaran' across India. Connecting with art lovers matters the most.
