Technique-focused coaching to master Olympic lifts. Build explosive power, speed, and precision under the guidance of a national-level weightlifting referee.

The snatch is a test of power, speed, and precision. Here I demonstrate the fluid motion required to lift the bar from the floor to overhead in a single, explosive movement.

The snatch pull is a critical drill for developing the power of your final extension. This exercise helps train explosive hip and leg drive while keeping the bar close, which is key for a successful lift.

This is a 110kg snatch in a competition setting. Success in this lift requires a combination of absolute strength, flawless technique, and mental focus, all of which we build during our training sessions.

Competition is about consistency and executing under pressure. This video shows the progression of attempts during an All India Inter-University competition, highlighting the strategy and focus required for the snatch.

The clean and jerk is a two-part lift that showcases incredible strength and athleticism. My coaching method deconstructs each phase, from the initial pull to receiving the bar in the catch and driving it overhead.

This image captures the peak of the jerk, where strength, stability, and balance come together. This moment is the culmination of a powerful drive from the legs and a solid lockout overhead.

Here are examples of both the snatch and the clean & jerk performed during the Delhi Olympic Games. Each lift demonstrates the explosive power and technical skill that defines Olympic weightlifting.

Watching a client successfully execute a clean and jerk in competition is the ultimate reward. This lift shows her dedication and the result of our focus on technique and strength.

About The Olympic Lifts: Snatch and Clean & Jerk

Olympic lifting is not about brute force; it is about timing and bar path. Whether you are prepping for a competition or aiming to fix a stubborn plateau, I use real-time video analysis to spot microscopic errors in your triple extension. We focus on proper movement before adding weight, because building a solid base keeps you in the game longer.

The snatch and the clean and jerk are the ultimate tests of speed and coordination. These are not just gym movements, they are technical skills requiring high-level mobility. I break these down into manageable drills, focusing on the first pull, the transition, and the final catch.

Why focus on technique?

Many beginners force weight onto the bar too soon, sacrificing the lumbar spine's neutral curve. As a national-level referee, I ensure your form adheres strictly to IWF standards. We use regression drills to fix your starting position and ensure your elbows are in the right place before you ever try for a max effort lift. If you think lifting is dangerous, try being weak. Being weak is dangerous.

My Approach

I do not just count reps. I look at your bar path, your foot placement, and your breathing. If your snatch is stalling, it is usually in the transition. If your clean feels heavy, it is often an issue with the front rack position. We fix these using frame-by-frame video analysis.

Training Locations

I conduct coaching sessions at Fitness First Platinum in Dwarka and V7 Fitness Academy in Chhatarpur. Whether you are an athlete aiming for sports quota trials or just want to learn the sport, my programs are periodized to help you hit new PRs safely.
