My Movement Journal: Raw Artistic Reflections
Movement is how I breathe through the noise. Here are the raw, unpolished moments of my practice—from hotel room improvisations to quiet rituals in my studio. This is my journal.
A mood of celebration after being freed from quarantine. A simple, joyful movement in a small space, a reminder of the freedom the body craves.
An ode to Joy itself. A simple Sunday groove to a lovely track from Senegal. A reminder that life is beautiful, no matter what the journey brings.
A Teacher's Day post bowing to my best teacher: Nature. It has taught me resilience, instinct, and respect. Love grows here.
A good morning from Tokyo on a performance day. A quick movement session to ground myself and prepare for the stage. Just move!
Another clip from a hotel room in Ueno. A reminder to just move and let go of anxiety about the future. I have faith that new opportunities will come.
About Miscellaneous
You will see me moving in a cramped hotel room in Ueno or finding rhythm in my Bangalore studio. These clips are not performances for an audience. They are my personal process, my therapy, and my way of working through anxiety or joy when words fail me. If you are looking for a way to express what you cannot say, watching these snippets might show you the kind of space we can create together.
When I am not on stage, I am still moving. My life is a constant conversation with my body, often in spaces that are far from professional stages. It happens in the quiet corners of my studio in Bengaluru or during a moment of reflection while traveling. This collection is a peek into that messy, beautiful process. It is about finding the 'revolution' within.
My practice is rooted in Butoh, contemporary dance, and lessons learned from the wild. It is not about nailing steps or achieving perfection. It is about presence. Whether you are an artist feeling the weight of the grind or someone simply looking for a way to untangle your own thoughts, movement serves as a bridge between your head and your heart.
We don't just dance to look good. We dance to stay sane, to feel, and to remind ourselves that we are alive. In my 1-on-1 coaching sessions and Butoh workshops, we use this same philosophy. We let go of the need to perform and focus on the honesty of the movement. If you want to explore how your body can help you navigate your own seasons of life, I am here to facilitate that journey. Let us move together.
